Today, Square Enix announced that the third installment in Lara Croft’s origin story, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will be released in early September.
This entry will be the finale in the prequel series that shows how Lara Croft became the Tomb Raider. At the moment, fans were only given a glimpse into what Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have to offer in a teaser trailer. For the full game reveal, we will have to wait until April 27th, 2018.
The news of Shadow of the Tomb Raider comes just on the edge of the Tomb Raider movie’s theatrical release. Tomb Raider will be based on the 2013 reboot and features Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. Hunter Wolfe recently published his review on the film here.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14th, 2018 on Xbox One with Xbox One X enhancements, PlayStation 4, PC. For more information, visit the official website.
