Dead Island 2 announcement trailer pumps up the jams

Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2 had viewers laughing aloud when it was announced at Sony’s E3 conference.

Several months after the events on Banoi, the United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start.

Set in San Francisco, Dead Island 2 looks like it takes a step back from the darker, more serious approach of post apocalyptic games like The Last of Us and Dead Rising 3 while taking a deep plunge into the more ridiculous side of things all while boasting 8-player co-op and several different dedicated classes.

Dead Island 2 on PS4 will have an exclusive 30 day beta.
