Cars 3: Driven to Win races onto consoles this June

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, in conjunction with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, announced Cars 3: Driven to Win to be released on consoles to commemorate the release of Cars 3. The game will be out on June 13 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo Switch.

“It’s been an amazing experience to work with the team at Pixar once again for this new game for the beloved Cars franchise,” said John Blackburn, Vice President and Studio Head, Avalanche Software. “With Cars 3: Driven to Win, we wanted to create a game that allows fans to extend their experience with this great film, and also feel the thrill of speeding through the tracks, participating in races, and mastering tricks and techniques for fun with the whole family.”

In an odd turn of events, Cars 3: Driven to Win will take place after the final big race of Cars 3. Players will control main characters Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez as they prepare to take on rival Jackson Storm. The game will feature more than twenty customizable characters with over twenty tracks across thirteen locations.
