Bioware’s long-awaited new IP is called ANTHEM, EA revealed at their press conference today.
ANTHEM is the next game from Bioware Edmonton, the same team behind the original Mass Effect trilogy. The game has been reported to be a Destiny-esque shared-world multiplayer shooter. A teaser trailer was revealed at today’s EA Play 2017 conference, showing images of a wounded and decaying civilization, along with several images of what appear to be super soldiers and some mech suits.
Little has been said officially about ANTHEM, though EA has promised that more will be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference on Sunday. Reports earlier this week, however, mentioned the project, then codenamed Dylan, and its role in the troubled development of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
