Today, Fat Dog Games has released a mysterious message regarding MGP Studios’ beat-em-up RPG Sand is the Soul, which announces that the game will now be released next year for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in addition to the previously announced PlayStation 4 and PC versions. The letter addresses the reasons for the delay, as well as a glimpse in the game’s development.
“To whom it may concern,
The last few weeks have been times of decisive discussions and debates which took place inside our trusted circle of magnates who are wielding the power to form the future of Crosshill. Taking all things to consideration, we have decided that, despite all the sadness it bestows upon our hearts, it is for the best to postpone the messenger’s mission.
The beginning of his journey is now scheduled for the first quarter of 2019 with an optional possibility of leaving early in exchange for valuable feedback.
We truly understand the grave importance of the mission and that’s why we believe that delaying it will, in the end, prove itself fruitful for all the people of Crosshill and the inhabitants of the land. This decision may be difficult to understand at first, but the actual CONSTRUCT of the messenger’s errand has revealed many disadvantages which caused great concern about the mission’s outcome.
The messenger needs to feel a deeper connection to the people of Crosshill, which will grant him strength and faith in the decisions he’ll need to make. In other words – he needs UNITY and we shall provide it for him, as it seems crucial for the future of us all. In exchange we promise that the messenger’s journey will also support other platforms, such as Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
