DJ Hero 2 also has a new game mode entitled Empire which essentially the single player career. Players take control of their up-and-coming DJ and guide them through and DJ their way to the top. The player can also create their own nightclub in cities like London and Berlin for their character, which they can tour in as well as promote, increasing the players fame.
The multiplayer starts off much like any other rhythm game game, but DJ Hero 2’s has a new rewind feature, in which the player has the ability to rewind tracks in multiplayer in order to correct any mistakes they have made. The rewind ability is only awarded when the player has done enough to earn it, however, and is only temporary. DJ Hero 2 also has the standard head to head mode, and also gives another player a chance to handle the vocals of the track, having to match the pitch and timing as well as possible.
