Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 5 Review

Warning

Tales of Monkey Island wraps up its season with Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God. You start off the chapter crawling out of your grave and step into the afterlife, where the previous series of events has you attempting to find a way back to the land of the living to stop LeChuck once and for all.

While I enjoyed past chapters, I am disappointed with Chapter 5. The only positive remark I have to say is it

Graphically, the chapter stays on-par with previous ones. Nothing stands out and the graphics serve their purpose. In the sound department, it is hard to tell if poor quality assurance was done on this chapter, or if it was simply rushed out before getting tested. There are scenes where you would expect explosions or other sounds, but hear nothing. The closed captioning has plenty of mistakes, either not printing spoken sentences, or printing sentences which weren

The end of the chapter is especially strange, finishing with a couple of words spoken, then rolling the credits. No music, sound effects, or any other interaction. Complete silence. I
