why fix a system that isnt broken?
WoW had to copy some of everquests mechanics during beta.

would you also complain if they made the game so different you couldnt understand it.

not enough variety… while levels 1-10 have never been more epic, it honestly divides, just divides into a 8 classes per a side… 4 stories per a side… while I’m not canceling my subscription just yet, I owe it more to my devotion to Bioware and star wars.

Seriously, how much did they paid you for writing this piece of shit lie. This game was hyped to hell but fall short badly. This game at best is an average single player game and broken crap MMO game.

Most people reached the end game see what it really is, just another fail WoW clone. It brings nothing new to the MMO genre. The server are getting more empty everyday, I will be very surprised if they can even break even on the return on investment.

this “review” reads more like a copy paste of something they sent you. you don’t even have any in-game shots attached and nothing but PR extreme angle releases, which look nothing like the muddy launch game (especially since they removed high res textures). you also call it revolutionary when it is nearly identical in mechanics to the MMOs before it, including warhammer. Then you go on about how smooth the launch was. I was part of the launch and it wasn’t smooth at all. rubberbanding everywhere and people dancing were invincible. It seems hilarious to me that you would post a review like this without even playing the game.

THis reviewer is such a beta. Go look at the warrior from wow skill list and then look at the jedi guardian. same with consular and priest. If blatant copying gets a 94 you just went full retard

Well, can’t speak on behalf of others but I don’t PvP at all. Im a solo type player who loves a good story. But I still feel swtor is a mediocre, bland MMO. It’s a chat room with green doors that everyone vanishes behind.
It will be niche game at best in a few months. Listen to those who are finished leveling and playing alts. They are bored stiff after one month of play…how does that translate into a, fresh innovative mmo that changes the genre?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Folks who are all about PVP aren’t liking this game. People who play single player RPGs but would like to occasionally roll with their friends? They love this game. I’m in the second set of folks. The fact that you can hit level 50 without ever feeling like you are grinding is something no MMO has ever done. The fact that you will eventually feel invested in your character is also something completely new. I never really gave a crap about my character in WoW – they were just a class to fill a specific combat role. In SWTOR, my character evolves from meager origins to incredible power and I’m guiding that process. It is in that way that this game redefines the genre – an MMO that makes you not come back for the addictive nature, but because you actually want to see what happens next!

No game has graphics like the opening CGI cutscenes. To expect that is unreasonable at best. Do you think Diablo III will have graphics like the cutscenes?

Currently, this is close to a scam. They charge your credit card but do not allow you to play the game. A lot of people have the issues with game updater that forces you to re-download the game again and again, not letting you in.

There are thousands of posts about this on the community boards, but the issue is not addressed. It is well-known for about a month, yet there are no steps to fix it. Customer support copy-pastes the “solution” to re-download the game for 100500th time which does NOT fix the issue.

I am a fan of Star Wars, but I do not recommend anyone to buy this game.

What part of the genre did this game reinvent? I’m being dead serious when I say this game not only failed to reinvent the genre, it also failed to make an interesting MMO. By the end of March, Rift will have more subscribers than this.

Graphics 75 at best, how can you even justify that ? It looks awful and has no hi-res textures like in the trailers.
Everything else should be around the 80 mark except maybe the audio, which i liked.
