Couldn't get web zip to work at all like you describe here. Also one other item that's a pretty big miss you left out is the Web of Challenges and Extras available in the game. Figures, art, movies, are all available. And the number of suits available for both Spidermans is simply outstanding. Honestly had no idea there were so many versions. Many are available without doing anything more than launching the game, while others become available as you play the game, and still more require you to complete a certain number of challenges in the Web of Challenges to earn Silver Keys that can then be used to purchase additional suits.

There's no mention of the NewsPapers either. The Newspapers are earned as you progress throughout the game. They start out with only the Alchamex storyline from that day, and then when you finish the area, you see what the newspaper was supposed to be for the day as the Daily Bugle. Not core to the story, but a fun little jaunt to run through if only once. :)

This is a really good game for Spiderman fans, and a decent game for gamers. The lack of load times, dialogue, and overall speed throughout, as you pointed out, do an excellent job of keeping a gamer immersed in the game.

Nearly done with the XBox 360 version of this game. I don't get the Web Zip explanation you provide. In no section are you required to web zip to get to another area. As far as I can tell, web zipping only occurs at points that are highlighted in certain sections of the game (at least, that's the only place that I utilized it). If it's there (about to test it), then I haven't used it, and I've managed to get to every location fairly easily.

Went ahead and picked this up on the 3DS as well thanks to an Amazon buy 2 get 1 free sale. Surprisingly it's the exact same game, with nearly the exact same graphics (impressive!). Only downside so far on the 3DS is how far out the camera zooms at times, which is something that does not occur on the XBox 360 version of the game, and I don't quite understand why it's happening on the 3DS as it provide no value to the perspective and/or gameplay. My only take away is that it must have something to do with the 3D implementation. So far, the only touch pad utilization that's separates the 3DS from the XBox 360 version is when you are at a console, instead of hitting B (as on the XBox 360 version), you have to tap a button on the bottom touchpad screen. The dual video screens are used nicely on the 3DS version. When both Spidermans are talking to one another, one is on the top screen and the other is on the bottom, provide far more visuals than what are available on the XBox 360 version where one is usually to the right top/bottom and minimized to a certain extent.

I'm in awe at the level of graphics we're seeing this fall in video games. From Batman Arkham City, to Unchartered 3, and even to Spiderman: Edge of Time. These games look simply amazing. From days of Atari to these works of marvel (get it?... 'Marvel'). *ahem* Anyhow, it's simply amazing what we have access to on a console.

Just started this game on the XBox 360, and have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the introduction to the game. The intro is one of the best I've seen in a video game. Very movie'esque with you learning controls and participating in movement while the story unfolds along with early game credits, and yes, noticed the Val Kilmer call out during it as well. Only a 73 on the review, but here's to hoping the game holds up to the level of the introduction.
