As stated in the previous thread, I'm selling most of my PC games, as well as various other things.  The rules are as follows:

1)  Item will include what comes with it, the price of the item as well as what it would cost to ship just that.  Cpunombining items works to reduce shipping costs.  Cheapest shipping rate is $3, which covers a padded envelope and standard first class mail.  You want priority?  It costs more.

2)  I prefer paypal, but can work with other forms of payment.  Other forms of payment may take longer, however.  Talk to me if you have questions.

3)  Nothing is available for sale until it is posted in this thread.  I know the list is in the other thread.  I want you to know up front what's with the game, if anything, and what condition it's in.  I may also check some of the newer titles to see if they run in XP.  Also, it's not fair to anyone to have one person call 'dibs', so it's going to be first come first served.  This should minimize angry mobs. biggrin

4)  Why am I doing this?  I need the money.  E3 is coming.  Project A-Kon is coming.  I want a new computer.  Selling stuff will bring me towards all of that, and there's still a couple of games I'd like to pick up.  Not many, though.

5)  Have fun, everyone.  This is supposed to be fun, if slightly competitive.  Enjoy it. smile

6)  My guarantee:  Every item I sell will be in working order unless noted otherwise.  I will check every game to make sure it will install and run.  I am not a collector, I'm a gamer.  Some of these things are not in great condition.  They're loved, as the saying goes. biggrin

Wing Commander II Deluxe Edition (CD Only) $10 + $3 S/H
X-Wing Collector's Edition (CD + Install Guide): $10 + $3 S/H

If possible, see if these work on xp. If so, I'll take them but want to hold off on the shipping until your list is finalized.

I can't verify off the top of my head if they do.  I'm wanting to say that Wing Commander 2 will with Dosbox, and I -believe- X-Wing works in XP as is, because IIRC the collector's edition was for Win 95.

X-wing Collector's Edition will run beutifully in 3-D in Windows XP using this file.  It will only run in 640 x 480 but if you max out AA on your video card, it looks pretty damn good.  I have been slowly playing through X-Wing AND Tie-Fighter over the last few months and am having a blast.  It's still more fun than any other "space" simulator out there.

There's a reason I haven't.  It involves locating discs, unfortunately.  I'm in the process of cleaning my bedroom, as soon as I find everything, it'll be posted, no worries.

Another update.  Still have a stack of games to go, but need to find disks in some cases, cases in other cases.  I'm a bit frustrated, as I know I have the stuff for some of these games, but I can't seem to locate where they've gone off to.

Now, I know some of these prices seem high.  I thought the same until I hit Ebay and did a search for completed auctions.  I was flat out amazed at what some of these things are bringing.  I'm undercutting there, of course, and trying to be somewhat reasonable, but I also don't want to short myself.

A good example:  Heroes of Might and Magic Millennium isn't even -showing- on Ebay.  It's on Amazon, used, at $57 and up.  AD&D Collector's Edition is the same, not even on Ebay.  I guess I Just have a habit of picking up games no one keeps or something. biggrin

rofl

$50 for a CD-only Master of Magic?  Dude, the software is worthless -- even the smallest abandonware site has MoM for download.  The only thing of any value is the box and manuals for collectors.

Also, Amazon is pretty much the worst place you can go to price things.

Fair enough, but then why buy a legit $50 CD-only when you could get a legit $60 complete via that link he provides?

IIRC, the CD version is no different than the 3.5" edition.

Except the fact that a lot of people don't have floppy drives anymore.  I know that I don't.  Also, a CD isn't subject to magnetic fields, remember.  Floppies can die on the drop of a dime.

Simply put though, if it's not worth it to you, don't buy it.  If no one here wants it, I'm sure someone will on Ebay.

The only reason I used Amazon to price that one is because it is not showing up on Ebay -at all-.

Also consider versions of MoM with no box and just the instructions and spell list are going for $100+.  smile

That being said, I'm going to ask one simple favor:  Don't threadcrap, please.

Since you'd legitimately own the game either way, you could download from an Abandonware site with no gray legal space.  So it's not really an issue.  Unless you balls-to-the-wall gotta have the CD.

I didn't realize your Diablo 2 was a CE either, that makes it too expensive to be worth it to me (though the D&D stuff sounds sorta cool).  And the expansion's too much -- $15 shipped for a game that retails $20 new?  Come on.

Fallout + Fallout 2 for $20 + shipping?  Did they stop making those dual-jewel packs that Wal-Mart sells for $10?

On the plus side, you've underpriced all your flightsims.  Freespace 2 is worth alot more than $15 (especially since you have the manual and keychart).  All the Wing Commanders are worth more too, as well as the X-Wing / Tie Fighter / Star Wars Sim stuff.

Castlevania for the Genesis is probably worth more than $7 complete as well -- dunno how many copies were made of it, so it might be a rare find for a Castlevania fan.

Actually, unless the IP-holder for Might and Magic has said that it's freeware, it's still not legal to download.

I bought Diablo 2 4 times, including the original collector's edition.  As far as the CE?  Try pricing it on Ebay.  Again, that's how I came by my pricing.

Yes.  They did.  Thus the price of $20.  Again, price it on Ebay.  The average price is at least $20.  With their inflated shipping?  Usually closer to $25.

Lest I say it again....check the prices on Ebay.  Castlevania's going for $7-8, most of the other flight sims I priced $3-5 under what Ebay's pulling on average.

Freespace 2 is only bringing in $40 if it's the 20th Anniversary edition, which isn't what I have.

Again, honestly, this is really close to thread crapping, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't do it.

How can there even be a 20th anniversary edition? There's no way FS2 (or even FS) was made 20 years ago....What's the story on that?

It was for Interplay's 20th Anniversary.  Here.  It's rare because apparently there were only 2000 copies made.

Yup.. they developed Mindshadow - one of my favorite C64 games - in 1984. The Bard's Tale series started around that time as well

That Castlevania: Bloodlines. Did it come in a cardboard box, or the plastic ones? If it's cardboard, I'm interested.

Cardboard, but battered.  The box wasn't kept in great condition.

Xbox 360 Premium system with Oblivion (standard edition) and VGA adapter (Complete): $450 + $40 shipping (includes tracking number and covers Paypal fees) (This one needs to go QUICK. If it's still here Sunday, it goes on Ebay.)

More of a looking at my bills and looking at E3 coming up and not making the connections necessary, and having a flat tire to compound things.

If I don't get a nibble on Ebay and nothing happens here I'll just take it back to the store and get my cash back, then deal with selling Oblivion.  I'd rather let one of you guys have it though.

Cardboard? That's good... I'm interested. One more question: how is the condition of the label on the cartridge?

As far as I know?  Mint.  I've never opened the packaging.
