I’ve recently completed yet-another-upgrade / rebuild of my gaming PC and finally decided to get together a list of the leftover bits from this and other rounds of upgrading to see if anyone has any interest in them. Some of the stuff is fairly new and some of it goes back a number of years. Free stuff at the bottom that's yours for the shipping. PayPal or Amazon gift cards would work.

Dell 2405FPW 24” LCD Monitor: Height adjustable as well as tilts and rotates to portrait, something my larger replacement monitor does none of. No issues with it, pixels or scratches or anything, just wanted something bigger. Originally cost me over $800, looking for $95  Sold

I didn't ad it to the stuff I want but can you give me your opinion on the sound card? I have a Audigy 2 ZS but have wanted a X-Fi...but that one is not sound blaster. Would I be able to get a good driver for it? Does it sound good? Better than Audigy 2 ZS?

From what I undestand, Auzentech is the only third party Creative licensed to build boards using the X-Fi chip. I bought it because it was better than an equivalent SB card, both from build and component quality. You should be able to find reviews of it online if you google around. I would still be using the darn thing if I had a slot leftover but onboard sound has come a long way so I'm using that (Realtek HD, ASUS mobo) at the moment.

I also want the sound card then. Sounds good from what you say. Maybe it will have good drivers. If not maybe Creative ones will work....so whats my total?...Paypal btw.

You'll need to stick with the Auzentech drivers AFAIK, but they are based on the Creative ones. The previous link for it will get you to downloads for the card (amongst other things) but here is a direct link to the driver download page.

Figured Id move my OS to the fast drive and let it have the whole thing. then un partition my other drives and use one as backup storage and one for all games.

If anyone is on the fence about any of these parts let me ease your mind. I got my package this morning. It was packed beyond safe. Nothing was moving. The items themselves were in mint condition. If Im not mistaken the gamepad is at least 12 years old and it is perfect and even came in it's original box and the plastic inside the controller was wrapped in .

This stuff is amazing and at this price you can't lose.

is that matrox card one of the old "multimedia" cards?  what im really asking - if my memory serves correctly - some of them could do capture from vhs via coax cable - does that sound about right?

The Matrox dates form '96 and just has the standard blue VGA port on it, so don't think it's what you're thinking.

I have a tote full of PC Gamer as well. My first issue was January 99 which I bought off the stand. I'd been playing PC games off and on since the late 80s but that issue blew me away. I bought Half-Life shortly thereafter and the rest is history.

LOL! Just checked and I have a couple of different used Altec Lansing 2.1 sets and a Boston Acoustics BA7800 4.1 stashed away in an unopened box.
