Complete and mint. $34.00 including shipping. Or will trade for Dragonshard. Paypal for payment.
Edited to add: Yea I guess I was asking WAY too much for this. It sold on ebay in an hour and a half....for $30.00 + $4.00 shipping. OUTRAGEOUS!!!! But hey, thanks for the constructive input. And Ebony....you can now quit your job as internet police. "Fo" sure.

He was being rude, and I'm certainly not coming to LE's defense, but I'll venture to say his point is that the price you put seemed a bit high. Regarding what you wrote above, one thing people who resell stuff need to understand is that it doesn't matter what you paid for something, the price you'll get is what someone else is willing to pay for it. So I'll say it too: your price seems a bit on the high side. Nevertheless, good luck.

And is this a PC game? I have no memory, and I hate looking games up everytime one sounds interesting... Could everyone try to remember to put PC or XB or whatever - preferably in the title? You know, for the pitiful among us...

What things sell for on eBay is hardly indicative of the real world. You could probably list the contents of your local Walmart on eBay and turn a profit.
The simple fact is that if you are seeking top dollar, sell it on eBay.

The simple fact is that if you are seeking top dollar, sell it on eBay. My objective wasnt to make "top dollar". My objective was to offer it here first at a reasonable price. But seeing as how I keep being subtlety accused of trying to charge too much for this game, I am glad I sold it on ebay. I have done alot of trades here and on OO without any problems and I dont appreciate the insinuations I was trying to rip people off on this transaction. You guy have soured me from offering anything else here. Congrats. And ebay may not be indicitive of the "real world", but I got paid in real dollars. I dont know, maybe for some of you, a little time away from the net might be good, if this is becoming YOUR "real world".

After saying this, any sort of credibility or anything like that went out the window. You sold it, now just walk away. But no, you had to say some snide comment. So it goes.

Sorry that this went sour for you stimpy. Nearest I can tell a couple of people were pointing out that they thought your asking price seemed too high. In a previous posting here ( link) you said: If I had known earlier the prices were too high, I certainly would have lowered them more. Reading over the replies in this thread I really don't see people insinuating that you were trying to rip people off. What I do see are suggestions that your price seems too high, that ebay might fetch you the best price and a request for clarification if this is a PC game or not. You were even wished good luck. Take a deep breath, step back and realize that people were trying (maybe not in the best way) to provide information that you were open to in the previously linked thread you posted here.

Well thats great for you. I bought it new for $49.99 And your reason for posting is? Just trying to help your sale (so you'd lower your price to something more reasonable to the saavy customer) and keep potential buyers informed. Circuit City had DS2 on sale for $35 the week after its release, Fry's has had it around $35 recently too, hell, GoGamer.com is selling it right this very minute for $34.90 (though you'd have to factor in shipping after that price, of course). The trading forums aren't eBay, and I certainly don't want to see them become like eBay either. I'd like to think that we traders all chip in our customer knowledge to keep prices fair and fast-moving. I've certainly overpriced before; overpriced in the sense that there was a sale a week ago I didn't hear about, or whatnot. I'm sure you understand that it's completely irrelevant that I paid $5 for this shiny red apple if there's a guy around the corner selling shiny red apples for $3. Objects of trade do not acquire the value you paid for them. And you seem to have taken offense at 'fo.' It was a typo, which I'll now correct. Sorry if that implied anything else.

...and I dont appreciate the insinuations I was trying to rip people off on this transaction. I never implied that, nor did it seem to me anyone else did so. However, you did come across as rather smug that you got $35 for it, which as LE pointed out is the going price for it new. So, in my opinion, you received 'top dollar' for it: you sold a used product for the same price it can be had new. As I recommended, if that was your intention, you would be better off heading right to eBay. Not that I was implying such as your intention, either. By leaving us out of it, you could probably save yourself a certain amount of emotional distress. This seems to be bothering you quite a bit, but it doesn't appear anybody was antagonizing you.

Just a quick comment - This is awesome. I like seing the dycotomy of what was read vs. what was written and the fallout based on text vs. context. I never expected this level of politeness or selfless explanation and the apologetic behaviour that doesn't always surface in other threads. It's refreshing. Thanks guys. You never cease to amaze me. I love CG.

Are you being sarcastic? Just kidding Most people don't appreciate how the written word can appear far more harsh than those same words being spoken.

I was hoping this thread would just die a lonely death, but it appears not. I dont take offense at suggestions that the price was too high. Just the way some of them were presented. Someone said the game is only worth what someone was willing to pay for it. So I did take satisfaction that someone thought my original price was fair, cause I wouldnt have priced it at that had I not thought so. I put the auction at a starting price of $9.99 with a buy-it-now option of $30, so the opportunity was there for someone to get it at a lower price. But someone felt that $30.00 was fair and used buy-it-now. I have traded enough to know how this stuff works. I offered it here first and instead of getting constructive input or counter-offers as to what the price should be, all I was getting was the feeling that people thought I was trying to gouge. I stated that I bought the game for $49.99, which was no more than 1 month ago, and if you go to Best Buy or Circuit City or Frys it is still going for that price. So I didnt understand how people would think that asking $30.00 for it now could think that was unreasonable. I guess I should know that most people visiting a gaming site have already scoured the sale papers when these games come out, and tend to buy them right away that way. But I dont. I get them when I can afford them. And no one was saying how high they thought the price was or should be, which may have been helpful. Anyway, whatever. If I misconstrued peoples intentions, sorry. But I think there are some who misconstrued mine.
And I would like to point out, as verified in the link that warning provided, that this is not the first time LE has posted in on one of my threads for no other reason but to give his opinion about the price. The first time I took it as constructive critisism. When he did it again in this thread, and the way he did it, I felt there might be some other motive. I really dont see alot of that kind of stuff going on in other trade threads, and I certainly have seen the opportunity for some similar comments, as I have seen some offers and prices in other's threads that I knew were high myself.

LE tends to keep current on prices, from what I've seen. You arent the only one he points out prices to.
