If anyone happens to come across a copy at a local store, I'd be happy to pay you for it + shipping + something extra for your effort.

Every local store around here is sold out, as is every single online retailer I can think of.  I've checked Circuit City, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Gamecrazy, Red Octane, CompUSA, Gamestop, Toys R Us, NewEgg, ShopKo, Sears, and a few others.  I placed an order for it through Buy.com (who said they have it in stock), but it's been in queue since Sunday and I just found out they actually don't have any in.

I know a couple people mentioned seeing a copy in the wild, so let me know if you do and if we can work something out.  Thanks!

I am 95% sure this is available locally. I can check at least two Targets tomorrow and could potentially mail it to you tomrrow if they have it-but you would need to be around your comp in the afternoon so I could contact you asap if I found it.

Thanks Mirage775.  Calvin's going to check tomorrow.  If we don't have any luck, I'll shoot you a PM.

The game is in stock here at Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City. Toys R Us is still the only store I've seen that has any spare guitars for sale.

Thanks all.  Looks like it's back in stock at a few online retailers (Gamestop.com, Redoctane.com, and Bestbuy.com), so I'll just order through there.  Hopefully will have it next week!  smile

Screw the online retailers. I was all set to order Guitar Hero 2 from Gamestop using their free shipping option when they wanted to charge me another $10 for "handling".

Swing by Costco if you possibly can. I just returned from Costco only expecting to buy food, but the Costco near me had no less than 50 360 GH2 bundles in stock for $79.99.

Gamestop really loves to tack on those extra $10 handling fees to anything larger than your average DVD case.  They had the balls to do a forced bundle with the Burning Crusade Collector's Ed that packed the game with WoW and the $35 useless binder strat guide, charged $10 shipping, plus the $10 handling fee.  Wound up costing something like $130.  I can understand if it's something heavy like Steel Battalion, but for GH?  Heck, Amazon shipped me an extra guitar for $5 using standard shipping.

Stopped by the local FYE store on a whim, and they had a stack of them just sitting there.  Picked one up and sent out quite a few XBL friend requests so I can start on the leaderboards.

Game on!!

I see that they have added Guitar Hero 2 360 to iTrackr.  There are 0 in stock in my zip code according to it.  I haven't actually checked any stores personally though.
