looking for something to practice console repair skills on.  if you have something that fits the above, let me know.

i think i'll also accept PS1s, Saturns, 3D0s or N64s...or older!

Don't think I have what you want, but I'm good at repairing PS2's and I have some pieces and parts as well, so keep me in mind  if you get stuck!

I also have a Dreamcast repair guide in a word doc, if you want that.

Good Luck, it's fun!  Tongue

Myto, how much do you charge for a PS2 repair, btw?

I've got one that the local shop couldn't fix.  As far as I knew, it was just a bad internal power cable, but I could be wrong.

Zark, lol - nothing but shipping for GT members, and parts if  necessary - but that could be more than you want to spend depending on where you are and what kind of shipping access you have.

Tell me - what kind of shop did you bring it to, what level of expertise re: PS2's specifically? Also were there symptoms prior to the machine's demise,  and does it power on now at all?  Post here, or email me please, not PM -  can't seem to keep the inbox unstufffed, lol.

If it's the cable to the reset button assembly - on a model prior to the slim ones - that's a very easy fix, you might even want to try it yourself if you are at all handy with "tinkering" lol.  Tongue
