...and wants one, let me know.

I've given away what feels like hundreds and they've just given another 8 to me. I had 2 left from the last round, so I have 10 available.

Just send the name (first & last) and email address where you want it sent to:

well, it was the whole 1 gig of storage thing.  Then they pulled a pretty good marketing strategy by going into "beta testing" and having it so that the only way you could get an account was to get an invite.  So there was a lot of buzz about it and it became this "cool" thing to have one.  People were even paying money for them on ebay.  Sad.  Now, everybody and their mother has one, which explains the glut of invites sitting in this thread, waiting for someone to claim them.

Oh and the interface has some useful archiving features.  There's also a big discussion about the way it scans your emails and generates ads based on them.  Here's a link to an article titled "Gmail is evil."  There are plenty others.  I have no opinion on the matter.

Gmail4troops finally sent me an address to send an invite to armed service personnel that can use them.  Maybe this means more invites are needed, so anyone who offered some get ready for possible requests.

The ads are so subtle I can't even remember the last time I've seen one. I just plow through my mail and if they're on the screen, I guess I've learned to tune them out.

If it's me you're referring to, I did send you one. I still have the email address you provided (a Yahoo acct). If you never got it, I'm sorry but I wish you had let me know. I would've been happy to send another one. Still would.

Google must be wanting to really test their gmail system. I've got 9 invites.

Anybody want one, just email me!
