[trade] MY 360 for your PS3

I am thinking of trading in my 360 for a PS3.  Anyone have one they want to swap?  I used to care a lot about online stuff which the 360 is much better at but I haven't really done that in awhile.  Meanwhile I would like to play Ratchet and Clank as well as Uncharted.

My 360 isn't a new one but it does have a kinect which I bought and a 20 GB harddrive.

Welcome to the dark side! Should you venture online with the PS3, no worries about monthly fees just to play the games you already paid for. If you get Uncharted 2 I'll meet you for some co-op. It's a hell of a game, even the singleplayer was great. (And I rarely bother with SP campaigns.)

360s seem to have no value.  Even though new they cost the same the local store the trade in value of a 360 is $60 vs 120$ for a PS3.  So does that mean Microsoft dominates this generation so much their consoles are everywhere or that they are losing this generation because their console is a dime a dozen?

actually it may be because it's the old 20 gig model.  Amazon has better values on the newer models.

there were a lot of very good trade in deals on the old 20 gig models last year, when the new slim came out.  Many places got flooded with them so Im not at all surprised at the lower trade value.  I upgraded from my old 20 gig to a new 250 gig for under $80 last year, due to the trade in deals.

They had some deal at gamespot earlier this year where you could, if you had the free power up rewards card, get double trade in value on the 20GB, so I think I got like $110 or $120 for mine in trade on a slim.

Look for something like that... I don't know why anyone would trade a 60 or bigger PS3 for a 20 360, really.

i have a 120GB XBox i would gladly swap for a PS3. no one's going to go for that trade, but it's nice to pretend.

I have a 360, 120 GB hard drive, Rock Band guitar, and a Kinect.  I also have Fallout: New Vegas, Bioshock 2, and Red Dead Redemption (which I guess I won't be playing much when I don't have the 360. 

Since a new ps3 is $250.  It doesn't seem like a terrible trade perhaps not stealler but not that bad.

Heh, well... you originally said 20gb HD... a 120 is a major difference...

It's more than the size difference.  20gb implies it's an older model, possibly a launch unit.  Noone in their right mind would buy a 360 that old.

of course it could still be a launch unit that has had a HD size enhancement.....

Correct it is an original with an enhancement.   I know it certainly isn't a great deal type thing but it is what I have to work with.
