discounts on console hardware aren't something we see often, so i thought this is worth pointing out.  Circuit City has the wireless controller in this week's ad for $39.99...$10 off the regular price Cool

Wow, tempting buy for a PC user.  What does it use, Bluetooth?

they use RF, but it isn't Bluetooth...some proprietary system.  unfortunately, the wireless controllers aren't usable on a PC right now because they haven't made a receiver available though.  a few rumors floated out of E3 that MS will be making an adapter for using the wireless controllers on a PC available in the future though...

i currently have a wired 360 controller that i've used on my PC and it's great, with the exception that the rumble feature doesn't work with any PC game i've tried yet...

Microsoft did actually make an official announcement on the little receiver for 360 wireless controllers. It was in an IGN article that also talked about their force feedback racing wheel, and some other piece of new hardware too.
