Anyone who says today sale isn't great needs to stop gaming.! I feel bad for my son, he just spent his allowance 3 weeks ago on ARMA II which was $40 at the time. I'm IN for 2 copies of something my son and I can play together, but I can't decide between GRAW 2, King Arthur or BF2 complete

I almost bought King Arthur the other day. Great price. Now I just need to delete a gazillion things to get it to run on the only drive Steam allows.

Yep! I finally picked up 'Torchlight' just now. 'Borderlands' is tempting me.. but isn't it more of a console game?

Good one today. I'm definitely in for DMC 4 ($5) and maybe King Arthur Complete ($5). I've read a few reviews, and still can't tell if King Arthur is a TBS, RTS, or RPG. Can anyone that's tried it shed some light?
Borderlands is the FPS equivalent of Diablo. Absolutely zero story, but a metric shit-ton of loot whoring. I found that it wore thin about 15 hours in, but that's about 10 more hours than most FPS' keep me entertained.

Battlefield Complete worth $5? I'm not sure how much of an online community it has anymore since Bad Company 2 came out.

My updated haul:
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box $5 The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom - $0.49 Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising - $3
Subtotal: $8.49
At the end of the sale I will probably get one big purchase. Either Fallout New Vegas or Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for $37.
Good thing I waited on New Vegas. Add that for $25 and King Arthur for $5 to my holiday haul. Hopefully there won't be any more temptations like Dragon Age going on sale.

Overlord II for $1.50? Can't pass that up. Tradeable - If you haven't played any of the Overlords, spend the $3.

Is the online play missing from the Steam versions of Overlord I & II - it's not listed in the game details? When I played Overlord I on gametap there was online co-op. I never played the expansion for I or played II so I'm interested, but I'd like to play it co-op with my son. [Edit] Never mind, I found this at the bottom of the details for I: Multiplayer is no longer available for Overlord Disappointing, as the co-op modes were fun.

My understanding is that it's basically a Total War style game with RPG elements thrown in as well. So TBS on the main strategic map, you send knights around to fulfill quests and such, and battles are fought in RTS with objectives and such. I may go for DMC4. That plays nice with a 360 pad, right?

they raised the price on DMC4 up to $9.99
but it's exactly the same as the Xbox360 and PS3 versions (with higher resolutions)

Saints Row 2 on 360 and PS3 is one of the greatest games of this whole console generation...the PC port on the other hand is a complete travesty

So I picked up 'Borderlands'. It's got great reviews and does sound like it'll be plenty of fun on the PC. For 10 bucks.. hey, why not? Let's see what today's sale brings.. I'm hoping to pick up two more that I've had my sights on for a good long while.

Today's temptations:
Tropico 3 at $6 Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition at $25

I think they have some dates mixed up....
Flatout has a release date of February 2, 2007
Flatout 2 has a release date of December 21, 2006
........
The sequel came before the original?

Another day with some good deals. I recommend FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage at $2 for anyone that likes racing games. It's decent but I wouldn't recommend UC or Flatout 2. Check the Steam forums and you'll see many think 2 was the best in the series - there's also far more playing it online .I only played UC on 360, but having played 2 for the past few days I think it's the best in the series.

True, but there's already so much gameplay in just Origins that some find it alone overwhelming. I'm currently playing it on the 360 and I just passed the 60 hour mark. I can't believe how much there is to do in the game.
