Is this any good? The only racing game I really like is Forza 3. Can I customize my cars in Blur? Do a lot of you play this? Would like to race online and not alone all the time. How new is it? At $15 it may be fun.

I have only played a small bit of Split/Second (the demo and a bit on a friend's machine) but my impression was that its core aspect of it, the exploding buildings and such, were cool but would quickly lose their excitement because you know what to expect where on the limited number of tracks.  I think if you're looking for a one-time play through of single player experience it could be really fun, though.  It's on my wishlist/cheaplist. 

On the other hand, to me Blur is a game that is well balanced enough to be played for a long time.  The single player career mode is quite lengthy with lots of cars to unlock, and the multiplayer has tons of goals and unlockables as well with cars, different play modes, their perks-like Mods and "stickers".  They even have the equivalent of daily quests, but you really don't have to pay attention to any of that unless you want to.

Daehawk, neither of these games is going to be anything like Forza.  There is no car tuning, upgrading or anything like that; just paint jobs and the multiplayer choice of 3 power-up mods.  Imagine taking the arcadiest driving of Project Gotham Racing and mixing it with a set of powerups similar to Mario Kart (but more well balanced) and that's about what Blur is.

Dang. Blur looks great graphics wise. Wasn't really looking for tuning and such but new paint, wheels, body panels and such is what I love. I was ready to buy it

Guess Ill pick up Rise of Flight A WW1 sim @ GoGamer for $20. I posted on it way back in 2008 or 2009.

Ok I just down loaded Need for Speed world again. It's free and online. Can customize all the cars and such. Have not played it in months.

if it let me, that is.  there's no add to cart button for the pulse pack.  you have to go to one of the individual game's pages, then you can get the add button for the pack.  a bit quirky.

They are good games but can get somewhat tough. I had to restart the game once or twice as I got myself in to a hole. But once things get rolling its hard to put down. $9 for all three games is a steal. I didn't have the expansion (Crossworlds) so picked that up for $5.

I got completely sucked into the first two games... probably sunk a total of 100 hours into them combined. The Crossworlds expansion didn't do much for me, however. The two new mini-campaigns were short and simple, and I didn't see enough changes to the Armored Princess campaign to go through it again.

There are alot on the net that claim the ai in sup com 2 is better then starcraft 2.  Check out the thread on qt3.
