Weekend sale

$19.99
+ DLC is 50% off except American Dream.

tempting, but I should dive into Crusader Kings 2 before I grab this....

or EU3....or Patrician IV...or Patrician III...or hell, something that doesn't take an 8 hour course in how to play it.  I must have been a little bit drunk when I bought that CK2 complete pack off amazon...

EU4 isn't as complex as CKII, in fact I'd say that EU4 is easier to play than EU3.

$2.59
Combined Ops is $4.99
Complete is $7.99
that plus ARMA 1 and OpFlash (named ARMA: Cold War Assault) is $9.99

Damn, I am sorely tempted by this. I have the old AMRA I titles but I never picked up ARMA II. Is there a lot of SP content for ARMA II out there that's worth the trouble?

that actually makes me more interested.  last time I tried CKII I was a bit lost.

Yes, the implementation of ideas and technology in EU4 makes it a lot more transparent as to what is happening in those areas and enhances the decision making process. The whole user interface is more friendly as to keeping track of what is going on.

I'm kind of eye-balling this myself right now.  8 bucks is a pittance for how much gaming you get.  it's more content than I would play, but the potential is huge.

from the complete collection, which is everything ARMA II and nothing of the older games, you get a lot of content, both SP and MP/Co-op

ARMA II
Command your troops through a branching campaign full of twists and surprises.

Explore the 225 square kilometer of highly detailed landscape, modelled using real-world geographical data and master each of 81 weapons and 120+ vehicles.

ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead
New story campaign for both SP and MP gameplay. Wide range of new tutorials, single scenarios and multiplayer modes.

Three brand new Central Asia-style large maps including expansive urban, desert and mountainous terrain featuring a fully destructible and interactive environment.

ARMA II: British Armed Forces
New singleplayer campaign
Player will command a mobile observation team of British troops into battle with the Takistani insurgents. Short campaign will be focused on depicting the assymetrical warfare with a guerilla force and the counterinsurgency operations.

Single-player Scenarios

ARMA II: Private Military Company
Original singleplayer campaign with strong storyline unfolding across thirteen missions
Fully implemented 2-player co-op campaign mode

ARMA II: Army of the Czech Republic
Deploy across 15 new missions in the singleplayer campaign, scenarios and procedural template gameplay modes.
Explore the two new summer-season terrains: Bystrica and Bukovina

For sure CK II's learning curve is steep, but unlike a number of similarly themed strategy games it's definitely worth the effort.  There's Meneth's excellent In-Depth Guild to Crusader Kings II for help, but it does clock in at about 130 pages. I'll eventually get EU4, but the earlier timeline of CK II is much more interesting to me.

if the rumors are right it would start Wednesday, so they could skip the weekly deals.  They may even skip the midweek ones, I think they've done so before.

Antichamber is interesting.  Got it for free, only played it for a bit but I'd say $5 is a good price for it.

Safe so far. Don't really have too much on my wish list of games to get cheap(er). Hoping the XCom expansion shows up for more than 25% off for a daily/flash deal. Other than that mainly impulse purchases.

Oh sweet. I didn't see a 30% off code, just the 25% one which is why I hoping for a larger percentage off. I don't think Steam will go below 30% off on it if they put it on sale. So got it. Now just impulse buys.

Yep, I'll likely wait to the last day of the sale. Being only a $15 DLC though, it does fit into the category of only-saving-a-few-extra-$ if it's discounted further. Not really worth worrying about.
