Full Splinter Cell pack finally gets to a nice price, so that gets added to my library, if only to just play the real SC (played it on PS2 originally) and replay Conviction.

Someday I hope to have half as large a collection as our holy leader, CeeKay.

Maybe one or two segments.  I enjoyed the game for it's co-op, I don't think I would recommend it for single-player.  Co-op is excellent though, the two characters play almost completely different.

I picked up SimCity 4 Deluxe this afternoon for $5. Deal is good for the next 21 hours. With just a couple of tweaks I've got it running fine on my Windows 7 rig in full 1920x1200 widescreen.

Not really sure why you'd say that. Unless you were hoping for 75% off stuff that has been out less than a month or so, in which case you, like the rest of us, have been spoiled by Steam sales. Each of these sales I have fewer and fewer games to get because my library is so big, but that doesn't make the deals any less good for people who don't have those games.

And yet I've already added Intrusion 2, Critter Crunch, Splinter Cell bundle and FEAR 3 to my library and I know there are several on my wishlish I'll definitely be buying before the sale is done

I'm just voicing my opinion, as I really care nothing about the stuff that's been on sale.  However, I did play an Intrusion 2 demo, when the game was released and enjoyed it, I don't think I'd buy it though...  I have so many steam games in my backlog, that I bought 2-3 years ago and still haven't played them.

That Darksiders Franchise deal was amazing. Best deal I have ever seen in Steam. Especially since part 2 is a really good game. Also the Grimrock and Orcs Must Die 2 deals were pretty good (I already have both though). I did pick up Amnesia for $5 which I thought was good.

I'm doubting that since it is a new release, but if you act quickly (sale ends in just under 7 hours if I'm figuring right) and you don't mind buying through Ubisoft's uPlay, then....

always wait until the last day of a sale because there is always a chance that the price will go down.

I just noticed Borderlands 2 is up for Community Choice, which would drop it by 50% if it wins.  I'd say chances are good.

FWIW - Borderlands 2 @50% is currently an option for the voting for the next deal. It'd go live in ~11 hours. I don't think Dishonoured or Hitman will beat it.

Also, waiting for the last day burned me several times. Borderlands 2 @50% is a steal, given the time you can get out of it.

If the season pass hits 50%, it's also worth it.

Finally broke down and grabbed my first game of this holiday sale today.  Picked up Darksiders 2 with all the DLC...hopefully it plays nicer with my PC gamepad than the original did.

Wow. That's a fantastic price!

But yeah like EngineNo9 mentioned I've also noticed the Steam sale prices were not that great this year for both Black Friday and this Holiday Sale. In quite a few cases GMG and Amazon prices for Steam activated games were so much cheaper than what Steam offered those games on sale for. There's still some good deals to be had on Steam but for their next holiday sale they should try and price match.

And even though it was a bit of a pain I do kinda miss the daily game achievement challenges they had during the holidays. This holiday it seems like they're phoning it in.
