Majesty 2 seems to get mediocre to bad reviews, but I loved every entry in the series.  It could be ridiculously hard...until you realize that the game is mostly a puzzle and you're trying to find the right pieces to make it all work.  For some reason that appealed to me.

Yeah I loved Majesty 2. Complete surprise. Put 69 hours in to it according to Steam. It wasn't until a few missions in to the last expansion (Monster Kingdom) I stopped playing. That was partially due to burn out and the monster DLC not really clicking with me but mainly due to hitting a mission I just couldn't get past.

There are several missions that fall in the "impossible" category within the main game that had gotten me frustrated as there's sometimes only one or two tactical ways that will work to win those missions. But I would continue to give it a go. Its a great feeling when you go from hanging on by the skin of your teeth to gaining control of the situation and delivering the killing blow.

I recently had an urge to start playing the games again and installed the original Majesty Gold. It's not as streamlined as Majesty 2 and would still be fun if it didn't crash after 15-20 minutes. I'm too lazy to try and implement some of the crash solutions so will likely pick up the Majesty 2 Collection, which has 2 classes and 8 new missions not available as DLC, and replay that. 

For those that pick this up and are stuck on missions I seem to recall I posted a few "walkthroughs" for the difficult missions in the Majesty 2 folder here.

I read on the forums that they made a change to the DRM recently.  Even if you use up your 3 activations one gets reset automatically every 90 days. 

And for what it’s worth I’m enjoying the game quite a bit.  The tutorial is a bit dense and the voice acting could be better but otherwise I don’t have much to complain about.

I went back to playing it after giving the Diablo 3 beta a spin, and was disappointed to find it just felt too clunky.  I had a blast with it before the D3 beta though; I even tried starting over to get back into the swing of things and it just wouldn't click.
