Was also hoping for a better deal for Saints Row. So I did the Green Man gaming thing and got it for $20 there and used the code to activate it on Steam. Wish the DLC was discounted. Not sure if I should get the $20 season pass or not. |

Company of Heroes and Wings of Prey are definitely 2 games on my sale radar. I'd really like to play CoH co-op, but I read that's only possible with the Tales of Valor DLC. I've also read that ToV was the weakest of all the campaigns. Has anyone here played the game with the ToV expansion and if so was how was it?
Oh and I believe the above listed dicsount for the Tom Clancy games should be 75%

For $5, yes. It's not an RPG like the other Gothic games. Basically an action game. It looks great and starts off ok but loses momentum as there isn't a whole lot to it - very RPG lite. When I was about 10-12 hours in I had thought it was coming to an end - to my surprise it went on another 13 hours - so it took me 25 hours to finish the entire thing. You should be warned that about 20 or so hours in you'll come across one of those "rage quit" type puzzles. I managed to work my way through it but I can see a number of people stopping there as by then most of the fun of the game has gone and its almost not worth contining. But other than that particular section it is pretty easy going and you won't have trouble progressing. So again for $5 its worth it for playing a pretty action rpg-super lite game. I'll be picking up the Fall of Setariff "expansion" but have no desire to play the original G4 campaign again. * text modified to remove my exessive use of the word "game" and phrase "the game" - yes it bugged me that much. |
