Opinions on the Dawn of War II expansions? Is Chaos Rising more of the same? Is Retribution mainly worth it for online play?

Chaos Rising is a more refined campaign than the original with a better storyline and none of the filler defend generic power node missions. They also did away with most of the boss battles at the end of mission. Personally, it’s my favorite of the three campaigns. Retributions campaign is just a hair worse than the original campaign but it does have the most variety of the three when it comes to objectives. As an added bonus you can complete the campaign as any of the races and each one has their own unique interparty dialogue and reasons for completing said missions. The Ork campaign in particular is over the top awesome. Retribution is also a standalone expansion that replaces GFWL with Steam so if you only want to play multiplayer that is the one to buy. Here is a clip of the ending Ork cut scene from the first mission in Retribution. Highly recommended viewing. |

The "challenge" version has the same engine that "Grandmaster" edition has, but is limited in some ways. Main differences are: you can play only with AI and there's no Josh Waitzkin tutorial. |
