Anybody that doesn't have Just Cause 2 at this point needs to buy it for $5!

no thanks.

??

Have you played it?  It's a lot of fun.  Easily worth $5.

i played the demo, wasn't my thing.

also, i only hate bad games, like dragon age 2.

Today may ruin me.  I will probably buy Horde, Magika, and Fable 3.  Unsure about RE5 and AVP though?

I remember AVP was really awesome, when i played it some time ago (campaign, didn't play multiplayer much), but RE5 i remember as a shitty console port.

Can't say I agree with jersoc much, but he's right there. Dragon Age 2 wasn't a good game.

Just Cause 2 is mindless fun though. The story is laughably bad, but hijacking a plane, flying it far above the clouds, then jumping out and landing on top of a skyscraper after a minute of free falling is worth $5 alone. smile

Someone sell me on Horde.

No, I liked the concept, but it didn't work for me.  Play the demo, you'll get about all the fun of the full game.  Maybe the multiplayer focus wasn't for me.

I've been picking up DLC mostly.  Galactic Conquest for Gratuitious Space Battles (I bought it off the developer site when it was in beta, but I can find the download link...may as well get it through steam like the rest of the game), some stuff for Civ 5.  Couldn't bring myself to buy dungeons though.  And I have Just Cause 2, Borderlands and Resident Evil on the 360.  Hopefully some stuff I don't already own that I want will show up.

My comment wasnt in regards to Dragon Age 2 which was admittedly very polarizing and less than stellar.  It was more about the only hating bad games.  Jersoc seems to hate everything.  The anger and venom he constantly spews makes me wonder why he even plays games at all.  If they made me feel as he does Id find another hobby.  The fact that he doesnt makes me believe that he enjoys being rude nasty and vulgar far more than he enjoys actually playing the games.  Thats what makes me laugh.

Two Worlds II would be tempting if I had the time to play it. I still might pick up Torchlight and/or Defense Grid because I still haven't played them yet and they are ridiculously cheap.

I'm tempted by both Tropico 3 and Transformers. Does anyone know if there's a health multiplayer base for it? (From the reviews, multiplayer is the best part.)

I picked up Battlefield : Bad Company 2 yesterday, and I'm considering Dragon Age Origins Ultimate for $10.20.  I started with the PC version, then switched to the PS3 ultimate version when my computer bogged down trying to play the game.  Now that I have a PC that's able to play the game properly, I keep going back and forth on whether I want to buy the game for a third time.

I bought Transformers new last year for PC and love the SP story, but not too fond of the MP.

I always think that I have everything I could want from Steam, and I'm always proved wrong. So far in this summer sale I've bought Dawn of War 2: Retribution, Fable 3 (with the two biggest pieces of DLC) and Aliens vs Predator.

"Love" is a strong word. If you like Assassin's Creed 2 you'll like Brotherhood, and the PC version is competently done. If you want story though, look elsewhere. Apart from the last 5 minutes, the story in Brotherhood is completely inconsequential to the overarching plot.

saywhat

Most of the Assassin's Creed games are inconsequential to the overarching story, since you don't really play Desmond all that much (although 2 was definately more Desmond than 1). There's about 25 minutes of Desmond play at the end, with a smattering of running around Ezio's old haunt. It feels like 5 min only because the rest of it is longer.

Frankly the environment and execution (ooo, the pun!) of the game in Brotherhood makes it better than 2.

One thing I never did figure out as Desmond was the blood splattering on the staircase leading up to the mansion/fortress ...

perennial sale favorite trine is now up for 2 bucks.  if you still don't have it, now is the time to get it.

great price on fonv.  how is the mod community with this one?  might be worth a double dip for decent mods.

Meh, kind of surprised they don't have better stuff for the 4th of July day sale.

Also, I think it really says something when I'm a big fan of Mount & Blade and Warband, but don't care to even pay $3.74 for Fire and Sword.

Grabbing With Fire and Sword, the two New Vegas DLC's and Trine today.  didn't grab anything yesterday (still couldn't pull the trigger on Sniper: Ghost Warrior, even at 5 bucks) but grabbed Fable 3 and a couple of it's DLC's on Saturday.

Are you comparing New Vegas to Fallout 1 and 2?  saywhat  I think it is better than Fallout 3. Better use of factions and the ability to be truly good or evil depending on your choices. I've played over 100 hours of New Vegas, half of that coming just from mod content.

Yes I am. Obsidian got the setting just right. The problem with the comparison I made is that just about everyone who played the original games is wearing nostalgia goggles, and they're fastened with superglue.

I'm definitely in for New Vegas and the DLC's today!  I missed the last sale they had a few weeks back...  Gonna try the R.U.S.E. demo and see if it's worth buying too?  Unsure about some other titles, like: Singularity, Alpha Protocol, and Bionic Commando Rearmed?  And thinking about the Meridian 4 Complete Pack?

I'd say Alpha Protocol is definitely worth a fiver.  it's a fun spy action RPG.  I loved Singularity at 3 times that price, so for $7.49 it's a steal if you like sci-fi FPS's.  Bionic Commando ReArmed is old skool tough.  played the MP beta for R.U.S.E. and felt like it could get old pretty quickly.

me and a buddy are debating Frozen Synapse.  You get a full copy for a friend with it so it's even better if you split the cost with someone.
