So as I mentioned in another thread. My ps3 died... I was looking into getting a pc for the living room, but it's really not in the budget now. My wife said just get another ps3, it's cool. Which is awesome, but I feel like a fool getting another one this close to ps4 launch. That being said, I'm in need of something besides a iMac and handhelds. Not to mention my friends that I play on ps3 would be missed. So, I'm going to go grab one this Sunday and move on i suppose.

I don't want the new one with the stupid top loading discs. I don't need 320 gb either. I'd say 160-250gb is what I need. A bundle is cool if there is something to it. A game I'd actually play etc, not some useless stuff throw in...

Anyone have any advice or know of any such sales/deals?

I've been considering selling my gently used PS3. Year old but little play time on it.

Send me a pm if you are interested.

Sent from me cool phone

Your best bet is to buy the cheapest new PS3 you can find and then just put a new hard drive in it (if you're not happy with the size it has).  Super easy, no special software, no special cables or screws (special FU shout out to the x-box convoluted crap process), 15 min job.

I'm so freaking torn.. Ps3 finish backlog or 360, play games I missed for cheap after my 360s broke. 3 in 18 months...that's still burning...missing friends on ps3, or playing with a few others on 360...grrr. Indecision clouds my vision( anyone know that song?slywink ).

I'm in the same boat now.

My ethernet connection on the PS3 died, and it's old enough that it doesn't have wi-fi.  It looks like $200 for a refurb or $300 for a new is where I have to go with it.

Doesn't have wireless? AFAIK, every PS3 has wireless built in... unless they removed it at some point or for some SKUs? My launch 60GB (which is still chugging along) has it built in.  icon_neutral

the 20 gig model was the only one without wifi:

All models, excluding the 20 GB model, include 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi.

if you got a 40 gig version it should be there.  or did you have a 20 gig you upgraded?
