Both EB And Gamestop show $29.99 for this game, although Gamestop's out of stock.  Woot!

I've never played this or Disgaea or La Puecelle.  Should I start with Phantom Brave?

Well, it really depends.

The order of release in the US was Disgaea, La Pucelle and Phantom Brave.

The order of release in Japan was La Pucelle, Disgaea, and Phantom Brave.  I have all three (or will), so I'll start with La Pucelle. smile

They're really long games, and I don't believe there's a plot arc.  Pick the one that sounds most appealing, and start there.

The strat guide is down to $9.99 too, if you can find it.  It's a nice book.  If I had the cashish (and the time) I'd buy it and the game.

the strat guide is amazing and very crucial. $9.99 is a bargain. the game is great. it's been my favorite nippon ichi game to date.
