On Saturday I made my yearly visit to Wal-Mart.  I hate the place, and this visit promised nothing worthwhile... then back in the main aisle behind electronics I found a bin full of video games (PS2, Xbox, GC, GBA) with a sign indicating that all games were $10 each. I looked through and found a bunch of GH/PH/GC games, nothing too exciting but a good deal if you're looking for some. A few random titles I can remember: Ghost Recon 2, THUG, Gun, Megaman X collection, some Ratchet & Clank games, a bunch of sports games.

Then I spotted Okami. Okami? That's a pretty new game, and I've had my eye on it since you guys started raving about it. The marked price was $39.9X, so I doubted that it was clearance. I tracked down a scanner, though, and sure enough: $10. I grabbed that puppy.

Don't know if every store (or any other store) will have this deal, but it could be worth a look.

Crud. Wishing I was in GR at the moment.

Argh, to be stuck up here in Shelby with the snow driftin' around my ears...

Shelby?  Wow, you have a little more snow than we do, from what I've heard.  We got about 6 inches here today.

Do you still work at Gamestop?  I don't get there often anymore.

Just so you guys know:  Every Wal-Mart clearance like this tends to be at the store level.  It tends to happen on the first of the month, also.

Even though I dislike going there, I will have to make a trip for Okami.  I heard the game was done very tastefully and it was a barrel of fun.

My wife was there today, and didn't tell me she was going.

Therefore, I have to go back there today myself and check for Okami.. $10 I cannot resist the urge, and besides, I need to make a run somewhere not even close to there..  saywhat

No luck here, all they had was the usual shitty $19.99 box with overpriced ones.  Okami scanned as $39.99, and when I asked the monkey behind the counter to check on any potential sales on it, she was too lazy to check and seemed to have trouble with someone that talked proper english.

So I walked out, and will continue my boycott of SatanStore.

You know, maybe the employees don't know if they are going to have sales because they usually aren't privy to that kind of information.  Besides, sales like this are VERY YMMV.

You know, if you had that attitude on here that you had at the store, I doubt many people would have checked either even if they could have.  You attract a lot more bees with honey than vinegar.

Apparently you completely missed the part where I said she didn't seem to understand english proper. Generally, I expect bad service around here with ghetto trash bussed in to steal jobs in our areas. They act like they are real fucking inconvienced when those goddamn customers ask you to actually do what you were hired to do, instead of lean on the counter talkin' to your homies!

your point?

The more you act like a jerk, the more people will treat you like one.  If you act nice with people, they'll probably be a bit more accomidating than with a crybaby who pouts when he doesn't get his way.  That's my point.

Where exactly did you figure I was rude? I know, I know, I should offer to shine their goddamn shoes before asking them to "Do their job"..   Roll Eyes Anyway, I don't have to put up with shitty service at Costco, or online, so this will be the last time I go to Satanmart.
