Very good deal indeed.  I am using a $30 gift card at Blockbuster or I would jump on that I think.

In some stores, yes. Depends on if they want go pick it up early from the local FedEx hub or not. Some Gamestop and EB's are going to be doing that, but not all.

Of course, those "Available X/YY" dates really mean jack, cause lots of times I find things on the shelf at Best Buy a day or two before the "Available" date in their ads. The available date is basicly the safe guess, so that they don't have people screaming at them when it isn't there earlier.

If you get it price-matched at Circuit City, you'll get an additional $4.49 off.

Circuit City's flyer is reporting Oblivion for the PC at a price of $39.99.

This is in South Carolina, by the way, so it might be regional.  After all, we don't have Fry's down here.

From what I am able to read looking at the ad from C-usa website:

PC collectors edition is 44.99
PC regular edition is 39.99
XBOX CE is 69.99

Damnit, drifter might very well be right. According to the accompanying graphic (I have the ad in-hand), it isn't the 360 boxart that's shown. Still, is the PC Collector's Edition really $60? Well, that makes it easier to pass on, for now.

Oh, and my math was off. Price-matching at Circuit City will only get you an extra $1.50 back.

Edit: Nope, it must be the 360 version, too: the online ad.

Yes  I should have put XBOX 360 CE 69.99.  Does this game even come out on the regular XBOX?

Anyone have a link to the PC CE on Compusa's website?  I can't seem to find it.

Back to the website and I think it is this:

XBOX 360 regular edition is 44.99 25% savings on this one.
XBOX 360 CE is 69.99
PC regular edition is 39.99

They do not appear to either sell/list the PC collectors edition although the box graphic for the 39.99 version looks like the CE version.

$44.99 is a great deal for the Xbox 360 version. I guess I am headed there instead of Best Buy.

I price-matched this at Circuit City. Don't know how or why, but the clerk only charged me $37.99 for the game!

The great thing about price matching a CompUSSR price is that, if the store tries to call them to check inventory, it takes about 30 minutes to get somebody on the phone.  Usually they will just give up after about 5-10 min on hold and match the price for you.

I got it at my local Best Buy for the CompUSA price. For some reason the cashier seemed to think I was trying to pull something and called a manager over but they price matched it without even calling CompUSA.

PUT THAT ON MY REVIEW!!  Tongue

Eat it EB Sales Lumps!!

Trying to get a copy for the wife.  The CompUSA near me was sold out in like 2 hours they said.  They dont seem keen on rain checks either...does anyone do that anymore, the lady looked at me like I was speaking gibberish.

This is standard operating procedure for CompUSA.  Advertise a great price, only have a few copies on hand so they sell out quickly, don't offer rainchecks.  Seriously, I've NEVER been able to find any stock for a great deal there.  Seems shady to me and is the main reason I avoid them like the plague.
