Been keeping an eye out for one of these.  I have to do a lot of standing around for my McJobbie, so I end up listening to the radio most of the time.  But Air America comes in very poorly (it's on AM over here), and I don't like most music played on the radio.

So, an MP3 player (preferably one with a radio) would be ideal, but paying $300 for one is NOT an option; Im looking for something sub-$100.

Creative's Muvo line has always gotten good reviews.  Their TX FM seems like something you'd be interested in and the 512 version is $119 retail.  Don't know of any deals, though.  And I hate that you can't get AM on these things.  I only listen to AM sports talk.  Can't stand the crap they play on FM.

Hope this helps a little.  Scouring Fatwallet and Anandtech forums might yield something as well.  Fry's also has deals on these things every now and again, if I'm not mistaken.

Good luck.

I was looking at the Zen Plus, seems to have nice features (like being able to record FM radio!!).

I was poking around and noticed the iPod Shuffle is in my sub-$100 pricepoint, but... ick, it's Apple.  Plus I would be stuck using their format (no WMA), and worst of all I would have to use their software.  It IS nice and small, but then again, no radio is a big huge minus as well.

Im kind of considering whether to get the 512 or save my pennies for the 1gb version.  It's only about $30 more, but... pennies are hard to come by at the moment.

Anyone have experience with J&R Music and Computer World?  They are selling it for about $10 less than Amazon, but Amazon has free shipping...  Maybe I'll hold out a bit longer and hope for a deal or online coupon or something.

[doh!] Heck, Amazon has the MuVo TX 1gb on sale for $120, and it also records radio!

I have no experience with them myself, but I saw this on TV last night.  There's also a 512 MB version for $120 - $10 rebate.
