If you haven't heard, the price is being dropped by $20 and it will come with 5 free movies (from a list of 15).

Movies are listed here:
http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/hddvd/data/pdf/Toshiba_Online_Rebate_R08.pdf

If anyone has been on the fence, this is a great deal. $180 or whatever for the player + 5 hd-dvd movies.

So would everybody else. Which is exactly why (unfortunately) they won't do it.  retard

I've already got all the movies that I'd be interested in on regular DVD, akthough the idea of Dukes of Hazard in Hi-Def is kinda appealing......

$180 appealing....I think not

Apollo 13 and Casablanca are the only 2 movies on there worth anything.......IMO

And for some strange reason, the HD-DVD player for the 360 is $150 over at Best Buy. So buy it up now before it goes out of stock!

EDIT: As of right now, it's listed as sold out. And there's no in-store pickup option either anymore, so I'm guessing this price was a bug.

I'd actually have a very difficult decision amongst these movie selections...good thing I can't afford a 360 yet.

I don't think it's that terrible a selection.

Constantine
We Were Soldiers
Sky Captain
The Perfect Storm
Casablanca
Apollo 13

All quite good movies in my opinion.  Nothing wrong with owning a little Lara Croft either.
