Hey guys, this is Sloan from Gone Gold, my first post here! Glad I found you guys!
I work at Microcenter in Dallas Texas, and I thought I would let you know we are doing a Midnight Sale of Half-Life 2 next Monday. The price will be 39.82, which is 10 bucks off normal price, but the big news is we will be giving away a free X800 xt platinum card to someone that night.
This is only at the Microcenter store in Dallas TX, Fairfax VA and Columbus OH.

Thanks for the INFO sloan. I live 20 mins from the fairfax store and I will be there. 39.82 is a good deal. :shock:

This is at midnight only at the Dallas, Fairfax and Columbus stores (I told them Houston needed it too, but they want to test it at these stores to see how well a midnight sale would do for us.).
The doors will open at midnight, game will be 39.82, and you can register for the X800 Platinum XT card (also we are giving away a gaming PC that you can register for, but we arent giving that away until January.), the card will be given away at 12:50 AM.

Only the regular as far as I know. We should have the Collector's Edition as well, but I think it is normal price, not sure though.
This is Microcenters first time doing this, so I am unsure how many people will show up. If it is only a few, though, it ups your chance of winning that Video Card!
Man, I wish I could enter that contest!!! LOL! :lol: :lol: :lol:

By the way guys, tell as many friends/family as ya can that may be interested. Like I said, I talked Microcenter corporate into this and they are testing it in these three stores. If it works here, we will be having more big midnight sales/giveaways for big games, if it doesn't work this will probably be the first AND the last!

Just wondering... Half-life ships on 5cds unless you get the Collector's Edition (which is DVD) or you import the Euro version. |

I just received a email tonight from microcenter. I live in KC so we aren't getting the midnight stuff.
The email says though that the price 39.82 is good from 11/16 through 11/21. During that time also like Sloan said you can sign up to win a kick ass gaming rig.
From what I have seen 39.82 seems like a pretty good price. Is there anything better out there?

Just got back from microcenter in fairfax, va. I would say about 50 people showed up and hung around until the raffle for the X800.
I'm installing now but still have to wait til 3:00 am for the game to activate. About to take a nap...
