I looked through the Sunday ads today, and everyone is either not listing their price or it is $54.95.

I saw the thread about a midnight deal at Microcenter, but that's a local only deal, so it doesn't do us guys any good that aren't in Texas.

The price at MicroCenters everywhere is 39.92 or something like that.  The only thing that is happening in Texas is the midnight stuff.

The price at MicroCenters is good all week.

Of course if you don't have a Microcenter close by anywhere then this doesn't help much.

I go near a microcenter every day on my commute.  Too bad I already bought it on steam.

I picked up the Collector's Edition back in August from Walmart.com for $59.82, which turned out to be a really good deal.

i don't follow pc game prices, so this may be good or may be bad:

at Amazon:

Half-Life 2 $10 Offer -

Get $10 off the price of any other PC game offered by Amazon.com when you order Half-Life 2 or Half-Life 2 (Collector's Edition) by November 28.

the regular one is:     Half-Life 2- Sierra CD-ROM   $52.99

Thanks for the tip.  Just came back with a copy for $40 and change, including tax.  To be honest, I've never been inside that store before and never would have even gone in without your tip.
