And yet the game I really want, Star Wolves, is STILL not on sale after 3 years. Hell the sequel is cheaper even. $39 here compared to $5 the world over sucks.

Yeah it is, which is why I was confused a bit when I posted this. I guess it's to save the download time or something.

I really liked Act of War: Direct Action when I reviewed it here.  In fact I was just on Amazon and added the expansion, High Treason, to my wish list so I remember to buy it.  A few different twists on the RTS genre.  Some FMV C&C-style cutscenes (without the cheese but plenty of low-budget) and great (at least at the time) graphics.  Well worth the $3.

I might pick up Europa 1400: The Guild: Gold Edition.  It's something I've long wanted to try.  I just know if I go there (via the front-page link!) I can't just settle for a $4 purchase.

Act of War is horribly underrated.  As a single player experience it's much closer (and better) to the C&C games of old than C&C 3.   It's a steal for what GoGamer is advertising as.

I can back that up.  This is a great title, and for that money, a no brainer.

I actually inflicted that movie upon myself.  I'm not sure how much worse the game could be, but I don't think I'll be pressing my luck.

The only way to make Eragon semi-decent is to watch the RiffTrax version of it. They point out just how absolutely retarded the movie is quite nicely. biggrin
