Ron you effing rock. I was looking for a temporary upgrade (I doubt I will ever spend the 2-300 on a vid card from now on) and I think this is just what I need!

Interesting.  I'm putting in a Newegg order tonight.  What would be a better card: this one, or the ATI Radion X1300 Pro (at CC for $100 after rebate)?   I've been an nVidia guy for years, but maybe it's time for a change.  Opinions anyone?

You can get an x1300 pro (256mb) at newegg for less than $100 without the need for any rebates.
The 6800 is probably going to be a better card but personally I prefer ATI over Nvidia, and love my ATI all-in-wonder 2006 edition (powered by a regular x1300) it plays all games, including Oblivion, perfectly fine. And for $93.95 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121550) you're getting a more than decent card at an excellent price.
