So I never used D2D before...always stuck with Steam or GOG.  It seems that they put a DRM activation scheme for each game.  So does this mean I can't install on my desktop and laptop?

According to CAG, they swapped out Silent Hunter 3 for DoW:GOTY.  They don't know the reason, though.

Also, do they leave the original CP in place or is it stripped out?

From their twitter, it seems that each week is a different sale and the $5 ones now will go back to normal prices.

Hey Kestrel - from what I've read, they do have the original CP (DRM) in.  If they do not, it will clearly state that it (see the info page for Settlers for example).  Also it seems that for how many times you can "activate" a product, it depends on the game.  It seems that they are willing to reset the activation for some games, but others (like EA games) you need to go to the publisher/developer.

I don't think it's a limit on the sale, IIRC they only allow you to put 3 items in your cart at any given time.

only 15 hours until the action sale starts.  I'm kinda hoping they have Ghostbusters, but it looks like they've been going for games between 10 and 20 bucks so far, and they have a ton of action games in that range.  I'm hoping they at least have Thief Deadly Shadows in there, and ET: Quake Wars too.

Buy your three...and then add more to your cart and buy those.  Rinse/repeat.  I bought 5 games this way.

Yeah, I found that limit of 3 in the shopping cart kind of dumb on D2D's part.  At first I thought I was limited to only 3 for the promo...but that's not the case, its just the way their shopping cart works.  Silly way to do ecommerce business, I'm sure they are going to lose sales by doing that.

I'm very, very tempted by Bioshock, but I'm not sure my computer can handle it all that well.

I would also rather get it on Steam, to avoid the DRM crap (besides Steam that is).

I think I'm definitely grabbing Chronicles of Riddick (it's the new version!) and Bioshock.  I didn't get too far in on 360, and I'd definitely rather have mouse aim.  I'd also prefer both of these on Steam, but who knows when they'll be available for $5.

Yeah the DRM thing is killing me...I bought 5 games so far, and not sure if I want to install it on my laptop.  I'm travelling right now, and that's the only computer I can use.  I don't want to be hassled by the limited number of activation - but I may end up trying to install anyway, as I wont be back until the end of the month

Bioshock is way better on the PC than 360. I have both versions and I enjoyed the PC more. If you got the rig to turn on everything it looks amazing. My tv is only 720 so there's that too.

How's max payne 2? I've never played the first one, will I be lost playing this one?

Picked up STALKER finally.

Tempted to grab Bioshock, even though I finished it on 360.  Would like to see how it looks on my fancy new PC.
Also tempted to grab Frontlines.


Glad to see they are keeping the older stuff on sale.  This could be an expensive 5 weeks!

OK, just read the IGn review for Saints Row 2 and I'll be skipping it.  As for Max Payne 2, I'd say you'll miss a lot if you didn't play the first one.

jersoc, It's been a while since I played MP & MP2.  I liked them both a lot.  I agree that you should do Max Payne first if possible, but I wouldn't SKIP MP2 just because you didn't get the first one.

they're both part of the sale, which makes it 5 bucks cheaper than if you bought the bundle.

I haven't tried to buy any tonight, but it worked fine last night and I actually played a couple this afternoon, when I got home from work.  I'm tempted to try Riddick out on this weeks list.  It appears to be the only one that caught my eye.

it finally worked right when I tried it a couple of hours ago.  so far I've ruled out Cold Fear and Saints Row 2 as reviews seem to indicate they're bad ports, but now I'm leaning towards Frontlines and Manhunt.
