Looks like it is on sale both online and at B&M for 14.99 this week.  I think I am going to give it a try.  They are basically giving the game away for free (minus tax) and just charging you for playing the first month.

man I wish I had time to get into this game.   And at this price, I'm tempted to forget the fact that I'm a grad student and get it anyway.

Is this game multiplayer only?

Is there a monthy charge to play?

If so, is there another multiplayer option to play free?

It is multiplayer only (MMORPG)

There is a monthly fee.

Pricing structure:
1 month for $14.95
3 months for $41.85 ($13.95 per month)
6 months for $77.70 ($12.95 per month)
12 months for $143.40 ($11.95 per month)

Not that I am aware of.

Well if you guys are interested they have a promotion of giving away a download version of the game. As I understand it I can give anyone the cd-key, and a link to download the game but on the stipulation that they at least play a month. Still beats paying 14.99 to buy then monthly fee.
