Target's Black Friday ad.  they're kicking off at 9pm on Thanksgiving; hopefully Amazon does some price matching.

It seems like most retailers are starting on Thanksgiving night now.  If I were an employee at one of these places, I'd be royally pissed.

A number of stores did this last year as well.  I'm not sure if it's been done much in the past, but last year literally right after Thanksgiving dinner my wife, mother-in-law, and an army of my wife's friends all gathered for the hunt.  They practically live for this each year and had an absolute blast shopping together.  As long as they never ask me to go and leave me at home with the boys to watch football, play videogames, work through the remaining booze, and hit the leftovers for round 2, they can shop all they want.  And since they're doing a fair bit of shopping for us, who am I to complain?

Thanks! Not as much this year that jumps out, but that gold box deal for the Bond anniversary collections sounds awesome, even though we just got the two Craig films on BR. Regular sale pice is 150, so with any luck it is 100 bucks.

The other thing that is a definite is the Robotech collection for 24 bucks. Will pick up Brave too.

I wouldn't mind picking up The Prisoner, either...

And interestingly, some of the lightning deal items have had deep price cuts. For instance a couple of things I want that are going to be 22-23 are currently at 30.

Yeah, in a couple of cases the lightning deals have only been 2 or so bucks cheaper. Tin Tin was $8.99 on deal but was only $10.49 later.

Last I saw Bond 50 was already down to $129.99.

Yeah, I meant to mention Bond was on sale too, thanks. I'm definitely going to pick that up for my wife. What time do the gold box deals go live?

Just nabbed The Prisoner on Blu-Ray for 23 bucks. Hoping the whole family will get into it.

Thanks. Just noticed they are going to have the complete Twilight Zone on Blu-Ray for 150. That's really tempting, but I'm afraid it would just end up collecting dust.

I tried multiple times to add the deal to my cart in the first 30 seconds (after the first failure it was at 11%, but I still couldn't add it) but it never happened. Been on the waiting list for an hour and a half. I wish they'd tell you where they are on the waitlist and what your position is.

Mrs. Gratch works part-time at Bath & Body Works and has to be to the store at 11:00 tonight for a midnight opening.

I, on the other hand, will not be setting foot outside my house all day tomorrow.  Fuck that noise.
