The title pretty much says it all: $36.99 preorders for these two 360 games at NewEgg.  I saw this over at CAG:

It's looking like $40 could be the MSRP on Banjo, though it's hard to tell. I see Viva listed for $40 at one or two and $60 at other places. In any case, you still can't be hurt by the newegg prices.

Well if that's the case then I guess this isn't such a great deal, but that is pretty awesome for Microsoft to do!

Yeah, if they end up at $40 they might be figuring that since it is the casual market they might be able to make more overall by having a lower price. But there's still inconsistency between the online sites that makes it hard to tell what is happening with the pricing.
