Saw this on CAG, it is going live 2/22: Pre-order the Bioshock Infinite digital version and get an immediate $15 credit to use on any 2K Games title (or it may be a bundle, it's not quite clear) available from Amazon Digital, then after the game is released you get another $15 credit (again only good for another 2K Games game) a $30 credit good towards 2K Games after the game is released. ********** also, they're having a Farewell to February sale for even more digital pc gaming goodness. this part is going live today.

That would be a pretty sweet deal. Bioshock Infinite is Steam only, right?

apparently they are having some issues Bioshock Infinite deal up and running. I also noticed some of the prices that are listed over there for the Farewell to February sale are wrong, so if it is on that list you might want to double check Amazon's main site to see if it is cheaper.

Looks like both of those $15 credits are just for use on 2K games. Which makes it less appealing to me. Will see with GMG does.

yeah, I was under the impression that the second $15 was a general credit, not specific to 2K Games. I'm probably still going to go with Amazon as I have a $20 credit from Crysis 3, and another due from SimCity. it says that both credits can be used towards anything except Bioshock Infinite, the season pass or pre-order games, but I'm sure they'll release something on the PC that I want by March 26th 2014.

Greenman Gaming is offering a $15 credit and two free games (Bioshock plus your choice of Spec Ops : The Line, Civ 5, Bioshock 2, Mafia 2, and The Darkness 2) if you preorder Bioshock Infinite by Monday.

Well that was quick response from GMG. It's the better deal but only slightly for me since I own all of those games but Spec Ops and Mafia. Guess I'll be getting Spec Ops. Gonna go with the $16 GMG credit as I purchase enough games from them and likely just use it towards the season pass when they get a deal going on it.

looks like too many people were grabbing the $15 credit and then canceling their order, so now it is a $30 2K credit after the game is released. on the plus side the Season Pass won't be a pre-order then

It's starting to be the best time to pre-order anything is a week before the game comes out, which kind of defeats the convenience of pre-ordering.

If you don't wait until the last minute you miss out on all the jockeying for best pre-order deal. And at that point it's hardly even a pre-order.

given recent high profile games that have been pre-release greats/post-release trash, waiting on pre-orders is becoming something of a gamble anyways. all of these bonuses are just making the gamble partially pay off if it flops.

But what if you preorder from Amazon and then like the deal on Steam better? Then it is. Not in this case because I think the Amazon XCOM deal was specifically in response to Steam, but the tables could turn for a different game. And now that they are doing things like immediately giving you codes for other games or credits/cash when you pre-order, it is not just a simple as cancelling your pre-order at one place and changing it to another.

looks like Amazon's $30 2K credit can be used towards Infinite's season pass after 30 days has passed. I think I'm going to wait and grab it then since I reckon the DLC will take longer than 30 days to hit.

To redeem your credit, simply return and purchase a 2K Games digital download (excluding BioShock Infinite, BioShock Infinite Season Pass, and games available for pre-order), and the discount will be automatically applied.

Did anyone here preorder at Greenman and choose the cash back option? If so, have you gotten your cash back yet? I thought it was only supposed to take a few days after purchase, but it's been weeks, and I haven't received anything.

Curious where you are seeing the 'after 30 days' bit on Amazon, CeeKay. That would be a critical decider for me as there's no 2K games I don't already have that I'd want to apply the $30 to.

Thanks! Good to see that information coming from an official Amazon rep rather just some random dude on CAG. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to double-dip on this one like I have for the other Bioshock games, already having this coming Premium-style for the 360.

Grabbed the GreenMan Gaming deal. The site was hammered this morning when I first tried. It was hanging up after the card authorization, but never got order confirmation. So I waited and no email so I placed another order and it says I already own bioshock 1 and bioshock infinite, and no mention of the $14 cash credit.
So I'm not sure whats going on and I hope I didn't spend $59 on just the Darkness II

FWIW, it always hangs at that point for me. Always. The little green dots light up in sequence over and over and over. I eventually give up and refresh the page and it moves on to the next step like nothing was ever wrong.
