1  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / FT\\\ 5 x 9.11GB Seagate Cheetah Fibre Channel Drives on: December 14, 2004, 01:29:57 AM
I have 5 of these drives that I need to find a good home for. They are ST390102FC Drives and their specs can be found at

I was looking at setting up a SCSI raid and thought these would do the trick. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no clue as to how to use them. Nothing I have supports Fibre Channels and I do not have the time right now to give them the attention they deserve. If anyone is willing to give them a good home, all I am looking for right now is either a hard drive (and or) some DDR RAM.

I really hope someone here could use them. They look sweet and it would be a shame for them to sit on my shelf and collect dust.

4  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Need For Speed Underground 2 Graphics problems on: November 18, 2004, 03:58:49 AM
Man I feel like I went back in time by 10 years. I have 2 systems both with ATI cards. One is a 9600 AIW Pro and the other is a 9800 Pro. I have one system with new catalyst drivers and the other is running older drivers. Here is the problem.

No matter what setting I choose, the roads are all large blocks of pixels. We are talking Need for Speed one pixels here. It looks like utter crap. I have tried every setting I can think of, and I am at a loss. The funny thing is that the demo looked much better, and the blocks are nowhere to be seen.

I think this is the last EA game I will buy. Lately they have been making games for consoles and they seem to forget their PC roots. I feel like I am playing a Playstation 1 port right now and it is driving me nuts.

I find it odd that this quote by Kurth..
Oh, and I especially liked this quote: "Jordanian businessman Isa Samawi, 42, said: "Exterminating the Americans is the way to combat international terrorism."

And then this one by Daehawk
I hate those bastards. I hope they all die.

Seem to have the same sentiment.  The first time it seemd that Kurth was put off by such a harsh statement, only to be followed up by one that is very similar. To me I think it is all wrong. Wishing someone dead for no good reason (and I also think that there are NO good reasons for killing people) is just plain wrong. Instead of killing each other, you should all be playing dodge ball. It's much more civilized, plus there is usually less blood to clean up once you are done.

Jeff could I get the Fable one from you?? I have the game, but there is no way I will be able to find everything myself. I don't know if this will work like the PIFF thread or not,  but I do have a couple of guides that I no longer have the games for.

They are

Freespace 2 (sybex)
Joint Strike Fighter (Prima)

Wish I had some newer ones, but they are hard to come by way out here in the sticks

13  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Should we carry over GoneGold trader feedback? on: October 16, 2004, 03:49:26 PM
I worked really hard to get my +21 rating before GG went bye bye, but this is a new forum. I have no problems with starting from scratch again. I know that there will be a few that do not feel the same, but without the ability of confirming that everyone is who they say they are, the only fair thing to do would be to start over again.

17  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / The Skinny on Rich (and Gonegold somewhat) SEE 1ST POST EDIT on: October 12, 2004, 03:09:13 AM
If this is how it ends, then I for one am very disappointed with anyone involved in it "getting turned off"

Almost everyone in the community had respect for Rich and if anyone stepped out of line, they were quickly dealt with. Unfortunately, it seems that that same respect was not given back to the community, and by giving no notice to anyone involved, many people are feeling  hurt and bitter right now.

I still hope it comes back to life.  If it does, there is a good chance that I may not go back. Everyone here has been great and extremely accomodating. Why would I leave here after we were treated so poorly. Without a damned good excuse I will be staying here.

It has only been a few days, you have almost everything I need. The only thing that I miss is the hardware section.

Yet another refugee here. Sorry if it smells funny, I kinda fell out of the boat and had to swim the last few yards. I know it will take some time to get rid of the wet wookiee smell.

Anyone got some Fabreeze??
