I didn't see it posted here yet, but if you order Super Smash Bros. Brawl from Amazon it's only 39.99 and you get a $10 gift card.  Only good until June 26th.

I was thinking maybe it was Locke's funeral.

He doesn't really have any family ties and it would seem that maybe Jack felt connected to john because of his desire to get back on the island (seeing as how he probley would of been paralyzed back home).

I doubt it was Sawyer's funeral due to the fact that Kate refers to "him" and I'm guessing they stayed together once they were rescued.

I got to say I was really starting to lean away from this show a little but they got me right back in.  I can't wait for the next season.
4  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: By Request! Zelda Impressions! on: February 19, 2007, 11:34:12 PM
now I have not fully finished this yet but....

Spoiler for Hiden:
I am at the sky temple (just got the boss key), and wondering how this game fits with the other Zelda games..it seems at times that it is possibly many many years after OoT, I'm not to "up to date" on the whole Zelda series, but wondering if anyone else felt the connection and placement of things.

Overall I'm still feeling the love for this game, so I'm not sure when I'm going to start dreading it.

Any opinions on Adventure Island?

I still own this original game.  I honestly hated it with a passion when I was little, but mostly because it was to hard and tedious for my taste.  I can still hear the music in my head for some odd reason.  Overall it is a decent game if you have never played it, but I can justify buying it for myself.

I just finished the desert prison..I honestly don't feel that it is dragging.  I also haven't waisted time exploring so much, and more just following the story.

Every Zelda game has the "hit boss 3 times" feel to it, so I wasn't expecting it to be any different this time.  Now I'm sure that it will probley get more repetitive the further I get towards the end.

I'm in the same boat - love Phoenix Wright, picked up Hotel Dusk because I think it'll be awesome... but word of warning about Touch Detective: didn't like it at all!  Just wasn't engaging enough for me... didn't provide the same sort of adrenaline rush Phoenix does.

Thats what i've heard..but I just love the art for Touch Detective....thanks for the advice.  I would like to hear a comparison of PW and Hotel Dusk.

just wondering, but at the end of the cases when they ask you to present something to either make someone happy or explain something..does it matter if you get it right or not?  does it make a difference?

Cause I just finished the second case and I obviously got it wrong so I looked on a FAQ which said to present something else, but it doesn't seem like it matters if it's answered right or wrong..

I think honestly you get the hang of it after the first one.  Because then it's more of a puzzle then issues with the controls.

I have briefly played the Wii and very much enjoyed the experience. However, I don't ever see the Wiimote replacing my gamepad/analog stick combo, well, ever.

also depends on how you play the wii, did you play it briefly with wii sports or a game like zelda?  Cause I feel it's very comfortable in Zelda, as well as add more challenge with button/movement combinations.  Though I do feel it's definitely different, I can see it being a big turn on how future controllers with be like.

not to sound dumb, but how is it even possible to blame it on cables for breaking the system?  That's like saying a universal remote made my tv explode..it's just not possible.

Huzzah. It arrives this week.  Mine will probably show up by next monday  retard

I've heard both good and bad about it.

Good: More Phoenix Wright goodness.

Bad: Straight GBA port with no extra DS specific case

Make with the impressions, or Damon Gant will get you!

Will it have the DS specific features even with no extra cases?  Stuff like the use of the stylus, the blowing, etc.

It's like the first 4 cases in the first game.  I don't believe there is any blowing like the 5th case since that was made just for the DS, but you still use the stylus for everything.
17  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Phoenix Wright 2 Impressions on: January 16, 2007, 03:56:39 PM
I feel as if it's just an extension to the first.  I'm only on the end of the second case but I'm not disappointed at all.  If you liked the first one you will like the second one.

I don't understand why you would be sad that they didn't add a new case when you have never even played these yet.

Phoenix Wright for me. I'm not going to play it for a while, but I'm going to buy it now before it disappears from store shelves. I'm not sure Capcom learned their lesson after the first title sold out.

I would pick this up, but I already caved for the import about a month ago.  I am about half way through..is well worth all the Phoenix Wright glory.

21  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Wii - Classic Controller question on: January 11, 2007, 04:52:56 PM
isn't it odd having to hook the Classic controller to the remote? I'm sure if I actually found one in the store I would buy it, but it seems like that would make it alittle awkward.

I never picked up the Fire Emblem on the gamecube, so I would be pleased with that.

Are you playing on Wii or the Cube?  I have to admit that part of my love for TP is it's control scheme on the Wii which is just about perfect IMO.

I'm barely into TP but I have to agree that the controls on the Wii are making it a amazing game for me.  I actually felt alittle scared at one point for being so high up cause the controls feel so natural and real.

As far as WW, I love the artwork as well, but I definitely did feel there were alot of good things..with alot of dead space in between them.  But I honestly can't look at a Zelda game the same since OOT.

So here is a Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum, hope you enjoy.

(p.s. one of the songs up there is not a christmas carol)

i wish they had some of the NES games set up like Animal Crossing.. Where you can secretly find them buried in the ground.  (for ex.  finding/unlocking a old zelda game in the new zelda game) I cant find myself purchasing to many of these.

27  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Stuck in Contact DS on: December 17, 2006, 01:27:42 PM
After the hidden ending that is all that is left.  I left the game on, on that screen for about an hour to make sure.  I believe the only thing you can do is turn it off.

28  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Those still looking for a Wii or PS3 on: December 17, 2006, 01:20:15 PM

Thankfully my wife had a friend who works at Gamestop call her right before 7am on Saturday to say they had a shipment of Wiis (total of 8, and they had to hold 6 for Sunday).  So she got there before their were any crowds in the mall, they double wrapped it to avoid mall riots, and she wrapped it under the christmas tree.

I've never felt so accomplished..even though she did all the work.

29  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: WooHoo!!!!!!! I got my Wii...... on: December 14, 2006, 06:11:45 PM
that is how I feel..I'm sort of sick of thinking about it, or worrying about waiting in lines.  I think I'm going to just wait till I can walk in a store and buy one.  I'm to busy because of the holidays to have time to play it anyway.

Now I just need to stop reading about it to get my mind off of it.

And the DS could link (pun intended) up with the Wii so that when one player drops into a pit or enters a cave or something, it switches to their DS screen. Man, that would flippin' ROCK. nod

That reminds me..what is happening with the wii and ds connection? Aren't they suppose to be doing something together?

I like Starbucks only for the reason that they built the coffee market to the point where quality coffee is profitable.  And while I personally dislike their coffee, I'm pretty grateful for them building out the market so other companies can make, and profit from, great coffee.

I don't understand how people can call Starbucks quality coffee when 80% of their drinks come out of a plastic jug.

I hate how I keep checking ebay like magically i'm going to see it on there for a buy now of 270 or something.  But I keep telling myself I refuse to pay more than retail for it.  My goal is to have it before Christmas, I have no problem waiting til the 17th..I just better get one.

In my area I have the choice of Circuit City, Toys R Us, or Target.  Anyone know which would be the best to camp at?  I'm leaning towards Circuit City (cause it's closest) and second choice Target.

for all the misfortuned that still are wii-less, anyone going out early on Sunday?  So far I hear reports of Circuit City and Target for the 10th.

I think I've finally convinced myself to camp out, though I do have to work later that day.  Anyone have any advise as to how early?  I was thinking about getting up at 5, getting there around 5:30?  is that reasonable or a waist of time?

38  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Next batch of Wiis? on: December 06, 2006, 04:20:37 AM
so how does this whole wal-mart thing work?  apparently they are getting a min of 3 per store tomorrow morning.  I have to pick up something in the morning at the store anyway, but I'll have a young-in with me, and I have no intention of waking him up early.  So I figured I would head out around 7:30- close to 8.

Anyone think this is pointless to attempt?  Do you just stand in the electronics department till the clock hits 8?  I'm new at this whole "going to the store early" thing, but I'm dying to pick up a Wii.

Any advice would be welcome.

anyone know if next Sunday is planned to have this same wait-out?  I don't think I can wait anymore.
A Wal-Mart employee told us (and i've heard similar things around the country online) that they will be having a bunch available 12/6 at 8:01am but that they weren't going to allow any lines for them. So that's this wednesday.

I've also heard that Best Buy will have another Sunday stockpile for next sunday.

A good place to catch up on rumors of who is getting them when is the customer discussion section on the Wii page at Amazon.com. There's a lot of people there desperate to get one and sharing info about what they've heard about when stores are getting stock.

I just saw the add for it, but I don't understand how it would work at a Wal-Mart?  Do you have to fight for them? cause I don't know if I'm big enough for that.
