To be fair, the apps don't come with a manual....so there isn't one to read.

And the built in player makes it really easy to create ringtones as well.
84  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Motorola Droid on: June 11, 2010, 04:28:48 PM
I am on my second month of my Droid Incredible.

To reiterate what was said above..."Really, it's the coolest piece of technology I've owned... Love it... couldn't live without it!"

Navigate works just great- hey it's google maps.  It tells you where to go and you get there...and it processes really fast.  I do like the street view picture that pops up when you arrive- it SHOWS you where you destination is.

I have the touch screen keyboard and after 8 weeks I am I think happier with that than with my prior hard keyboards.  You can adjust it to know your fat finger size and it works great...no real problems for me now at all, but it did take some time.

Google integration is spot on.  My google calendar and phone calendar sync in seconds.  Gmail is fast.  Google Voice (if you can get an invite) is so cool-- it emails you the the text of your voice mail...as well as the recording.

It has a note pad.  The apps in general are interesting.  Lots and lots of useful ones...although some of the commercial ones (like companies that put out apps) still lag behind for the Android but that is changing albeit slowly.  One thing you do notice is that there are tons of bad apps since the store is basically open and has many fewer restrictions than Apple...and it shows.  I suppose in the long run that may be a good thing but it does tend to clog the market with lots of Sexy Girl bouncing apps....(not that I don't like bouncy).

And that is my .02.

Like pop tarts.  Easy to use, hard to master.  I prefer to eat them barbarian style, raw, but I know others with more refined sensibilities that feel the need to cook them.  Even if I wanted to cook my pop tarts (laugh), the shiny-shiny silver packets are way too distracting for me to actually read anything printed on them.  And don't get me started on the crazy notion that 1 pop tart is 1 serving.  Ridiculous.  It comes with 2.

But remember, if you heat them up...THEY MIGHT BE HOT!
87  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Woman lacks common sense, sues Google. on: June 03, 2010, 05:26:24 PM
It appears she was hit crossing a street.  A rural highway.  At night.  At some point common sense HAS to kick in.  Google didn't tell her to cross the street at night in an unsafe manner.  Is google required to say on their directions, "watch out for negligent drivers?"

You know, there are instructions on shampoo bottles along with statements like "not for internal use".  I think that these things are there because of people like these.

I'll keep my eyes open. I haven't seen the Doritos yet, but if you want hot, try these:

Blair's Death Rain Habanero Chips - that's Blair as in the guy that makes the hottest hot sauces on the planet.

They are the only thing I've eaten that have ever given me heartburn, but so good.

I recently tried Death Rain...anyone that thinks they have had a hot chip has NOT really had one...I saw a girl eat one chip and immediately got a bloody nose.  Death Rain does reign supreme in teh hotness.

Also this...as a Dad, I have agreed to watch all the Twilight movies with my 12 year old daughter....I am an AWESOME Dad.

That said, the first 2 and probably the third are in the running for the worst movies I have ever seen.  NOTHING happens.  NOTHING.  The acting is rigid, the characters are without depth, the lore is so turned upside down it is silly...(just wearing sunglasses will protect a vampire from sunlight?  All werewolves are clone brown boys with no shirts?) and they are boring...really.

Do yourself a favor and skip them.  I can't, but heed my words...let me protect you from harm.  You WILL thank me.

Let me second, third or whatever for Silverado.  It is just awesome.

Clint's...obvious choices.

I for one did NOT like Tombstone.  It just seemed to be too I don't know, made up?  To Hollywoodish?  Anyway imho you will not hate yourself even if you don't like it...I just like some of the other suggestions better.

RE will be much better if not just for Milla and Ali...that alone takes it out of terrible and raises it to ....guilty pleasure at least.

SGU is way better than V...AND it has much more potential as well.  Definitely glad this one is back.  I am sure V won't last much longer- I watch it but I just don't see the "Nobody Loves Raymond" crowd tuning in.

That said, if Atlantis lasted what...5 years?...I think SGU will get a good run.

Isn't Stan Lee supposed to make 2 SyFy movies based on the winners of Who Wants to Be a Superhero?

He did make the first one-- it was horrible.
Got the special edition comic....lame.

I believe, that the second winner never got a movie, nor did he get the action figure- but I could be wrong.

That said, my daughter and I really liked both seasons ... eek

Spoiler for Hiden:
She was my love interest in 1 and she was still kinda bitchy to me...I have no problem hitting on Kelly...that cute redhead is gonna be mine!!

I would contact the seller first...and if that doesn't work I would contact Ebay.  I assume they have a very strong policy about selling fakes and yours are.  The seller claimed the were Uggs and they were not.  If he said "just like Uggs" fine but it doesn't sound like he did.

Also he may have thought the were real when he got them.  It never hurts to ask.
