i hope it is semi rugged because dropping it isnt an if, its a when. My software company makes software that runs on tablets. So tablet computing is nothing new. We have people strap on tablets via a shoulder strap and even then there are mishaps because tablet computing and drops go hand in hand.
So my advice, if you get one, get the 3 year warranty that allows you to drop/break/ and replace cause it will hapen.
Oh and smudges, make sure to carry cleaning clothes cause tablet computing this size shows all your little greasy finger smudges.
Just a heads up, for those who want to do tablet computing outside, the new muti touch muti view lenovo x200 screen is incredible outside. Revolutionary good.

How do consumers lose if buggy, proprietary Flash is eventually replaced by HTML 5 for most Web-based interactivity? Flash is not buggy, its only buggy on Apple stuff. Flash isnt going anywhere. Html 5 is not going to be able to replace or do half the stuff you can do on flash. lets remember - Windows runs over 93% of all computers still (93.3 actually as of last month)

not sure i get this. If I am gonna have to carry something around, I really dont see why i wouldnt just carry something maybe 1 pound more and a few hundred dollars more that does EVERYTHING i want and need. Why limit myself? Its a fancy poor mans tablet/laptop I agree Flash is now a must. as a guy who does some website design on the side, not working with flash is weak sauce. EVERY decent site now has some flash incorporated somewhere.

not gonna like it, but just like in private industry, its all about who you know. Most gov job posting, especially in this climate are already filled, they are just posted because they have to be because of laws. So my advice is to network. Go out there and hang out with old friends if they or there family have some pull somewhere with someone.
Old saying of " Its not what you know, its who you know" is probably the most accurate saying of all time.
Its the whole reason most people go to Ivy league schools. They dont have secret books there, they just have access to top end familes and crowds and networks.

i dont get these developers, ether do the game right or dont do it at all. Great idea poorly executed is not gonna fool anyone. Digital disributed games like this live and die by word of mouth, if this game was even decent I would put out 10 bucks, but not gonna bother now.

best maddens were the first two or so when they had the passing boxes. I mean back then you could actually see your three reads and see who was open. I gave up on madden since passing is mostly just guessing since you cant always see your receivers easily if at all. plus interceptions etc, who the hell knows what going on there.
Lack of competition has really set back NFL video games. I played this last night at a buddies house, plyed one game, mehhh same old crap.

I have played the game on and off for about a year now, and I agree something has happened, the game is just all shaky and jumpy more often then not. Plus the way the now changed VP points, they basically MAKE you buy BF's if you want thing like bandages and wrenches.
so it was fun but I am out for now. If they get another 10 maps or something I'll give it a go again. Game is laggy and pointless atm.

I'm starting to think the months of the Wii exceeding 400k in US, outside of the Holiday season, are over. With the US numbers they've posted to date I can't imagine Nintendo isn't running up against market saturation. I doubt its saturation, more to do with the worst recession on 70 years.

It's not a challenge for the crackers. In fact, it's so rudimentary and boring (read: not glorious) that they probably won't bother. Your thinking isn't exactly the same as the pirates'. who wont bother the few real hackers out there? they would never bother to begin with. Will the thousands of wanna be hackers see this as a challange? you bet. LIke me telling some thugs walking down the street, I dare you to steal my silver car, ( heh its a rental) failing to realize the other 3 cars siting in my drive way are not rentals. You dont dare people. They steal shit for even less reasons. The definition of hacker has changed, it basically covers anything from truly hacking into servers, to cracking software, to simply using cheat programs in games.

stupid CEO, sure some of you games are free to play so there is nothing to pirate, but most of your games aren't. So piracy is still a huge problem for you and your company Its a very stupid marketing ploy. Why go and stir a hornets nest?
You dont dare hackers, the whole point of being a hacker is basically the challenge. Why offer them one?
Clueless execs.

Mafia is one of the most epic games I've ever played. At it's closure, I had to sit back and consider the game I've just played. I was simply and utterly blown. Away.
I'm IN for this one for sure. Screw the consolies, it's the PC version for me! Ditto, that game was incredible. It sucked me in like few ever have.

GamesRadar is the truthful one, but highly doubtful, when a reviewer goes, dont buy this one, buy that one, my bullshit meter goes through the roof. Thats not reviewing, thats pimping

well damn, I was going to get InfaMouS and put off Prototype, but now I may put off iNFAmOUs and get Prototype instead. because why? one review site compares a game they played versus one they just started to play, makes no sense. Personally I dont trust most of these sites , too much shannigans going on. Commentators and reporters etc everyday are manipulated and used by wall street, and I pretty sure this practice is being done all over now. All these mags, sites etc are hurting and hurting bad, they are not above pimping for their larger clients. Personally I take the reviews from the gamers here much more to heart. I'm firmly of the belief that the widespread availability of demos this generation have probably done more to turn people off of games than to get them to buy a game they wouldn't otherwise. agree completely. Fact is most people are simply not too bright, and often will jump to many wrong conclusions based on a short demo. You dont see movie makers and Hollywood allowing people to watch 15 minutes of their films do you?

why would you send a carebear to play a pvp centric MMO? I mean I dont dance ( hate it actually) so would you have me review Dance Dance Revolution? what do you think would be the results? Gee bob you hate mexican food I know but hey, go review this new mexican restaurant.. yeah genius
I mean these sites and magazines are just getting incredibly lazy in their reviewing and they wonder why they are all dropping like flies.
I also love how concrete evidence like server logs is considered equal to some snot nosed reviewer who cries and claims "but but I played like a whole 9 hours like". Even 9 hours is pathetic.

I'll wait til they make one that has a nice leather binding, and feels like a book. Has two screens on each side. AT this point I dont see how it beats a regular book, Some sand, some water damage by the pool etc and boom 400 beans gone. PLus if you leave it some where, I just dont get it personally. Digital text is like what, 1980 tech, why the price tag?
