have both, enjoy both. but kept going back to Dishonored. just finished my first playthrough as a clean hands no-kill stealth. it was soo much fun. xbox controller works really well. the game seamlessly switches from keyboard to controller with appropriate on screen markers and vice versa for whichever was detected as input last. can't recommend Dishonored enough. but you have to enjoy stealth games and have the discipline to play it as stealth or in my opinion it would not be nearly as much fun.

I've given it a few tries. it is alpha so take it with a grain of salt.
terrible right now. you get whacked with a flashlight by a camper immediately 75% of the time. apparently they don't really care about spawn camping. and the map is tiny (so far, apparently will be much bigger).
graphics are not good - maybe alpha, maybe because the game they are modding is not that great.
i'm holding out hope but the lead developer seems like an ego maniacal flake. a little worried the whole thing might be a cash grab.
anyway, lesson to developers. do not allow tiered payments for a game where those paying more get early access to your currently crappy game. people paying for something might just expect something. allow a few winners of some signup lotto free access to your alpha=win. Having people pay a premium to get access to your alpha=meh.

I think Gamestop sets a price they are willing to take and then pick a number as a "HURRY ACT NOW!!!!" figure. i remember they had a "first 100 customers" limit for Heroes VI I think and it lasted for hours with multiple people on here reporting they got it (including me).

the retail pc version is $8.88 on Amazon if you can get that in Japan. Delivery might be an issue though. the PC download version is $15.24 for some reason.

I had a strange Dragon encounter this morning as well. But this turned out for my benefit. I had just finished a crawl, and as I came out, right in front of me a dragon dropped, dead! I thought I wonder if I can still loot it even though I never fired a shot. Turns out you can, and get the Dragon soul....Easy-peasy...(this happened on the edge of a town, so obviously the town folk had been battling it before I came out) Kinda got a real immersive feeling about it. Nicely done!
It would have been awesome if you came out of the cave/sewer/tunnel squinting into the bright light of day, only to notice a strange shadow right before the dragon landed on you. SQUISH

Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Holy shit, it's a funnel (and other unrecognized icons)

I just wanted to add that a funnel makes no sense for representing a filter. A funnel doesn't filter anything; it funnels. It takes stuff, and then condenses it into a more compact stream of the same exact stuff. No stuff is filtered out. Replace your oil filter with an oil funnel and see how well it works.
well, if someone was pouring sand and really large rocks into a funnel, it would filter out the really large rocks. until they blocked the funnel. at which point it would filter out everything.

Kills 20 Deaths 8 K/D Ratio 2.5
i guarantee this will be the high point in my k/d ratio
I had a little fun as a tank gunner, and then i found this awesome four or five story building with tons of people running by below me. then i got rocketed or something. but still, 2.5 to 1. that's coming down soon.

crappity crap crap.
That's what i get for only reading the customer comment asserting cross platform saves on amazon... which was then debunked a few times shortly thereafter. oh well still ok with the free pc version packed in w/ps3.

I haven't been paying attention, I owe you guys! I just cancelled my 360 version and switched to PS3 for the additional PC version key. I see the saves should transfer too which is big for me when my wife has to watch extreme couponing or some other nonsense on the big screen, i can seek safe harbor on the computer.

Great Review! I have similar feelings... For no particular reason, I'm having more fun with this game than any other in a long time. Even more than DA:O. But I would be hard pressed to recommend it to anyone, as I can overlook the flaws but think there are a few that might cause frustration quits from others.

I'm loving this game! Currently playing as a summoner/fire mage. Really enjoying how just when I think it is getting too easy I run into something that makes me completely rethink my standard battle plan. I love a game that isn't afraid to make you feel really, really weak at times.
And I agree with the comments about the effectiveness of the dark. switching between the torch and you ready stance can be creepy when you aren't exactly sure about the strengths of your opponents.
