I'd buy one, but not for $500+. I would like to see a revision or two before I jumped on one. Looks nice, though. I was impressed and the only Apple product I own is a hand-me-down iPod mini. I would also fear for the naked touch screen in my pocket.
I think it will sell like crazy.
The AppleTV thing...not impressed at all.

I would get the 20 gig for sure if I were to buy one.
Me too. The chrome just doesn't look that good. I (don't yet) need wireless, except for the PSP stuff which might be useful. The HD size and media reader stuff is easy enough to add. Is WiFi access for the PSP worth $100? Not for me. Here is a REAL question. Does the PS3 play PS1 games? I guess that should be pretty obvious, but I haven't heard one way or another.

Sudoku doesn't have any math involved. Basically, you have to have numbers 1-9 in each row and each column: you can't have two of one number in any row or column.
It's sort of a crossword puzzle using numbers. You could just as easily use A-I, instead.
I need to find some with letters then. I can't look at numbers because then I want to add them or something. I am good at addition! I might have to give them another try, though. They seem to be fairly popular and I know a few crossword people that like them. I didn't give them much of a chance to begin with.

Why can't people just skip posts by people they don't like? Good lord, what do you people do in real life? I teach 12 year old kids and I have to tell them this on occassion. No, I am not going to move you to another class so you don't have to be in the same room with so-and-so. I don't care if you don't want to sit next to him/her. When you grow up you will deal with people you don't like all the time. It's part of being an adult.
I officially hate the ignore feature. Grow up, people. Either that or spare us all and vanish. I get the feeling that is what people might start to do now that we've opened this Pandora's Box.
I would like to ban certain words that I find offensive. Then we can move on to banning ideas I don't agree with. Then I want you all to use an avatar of my choosing. Then my cat shall be made a mod and start banning people he doesn't like. This is so fucking stupid. Why did you ever agree to do something like this?

It was causing me problems with loading as well (Opera 9.02).
That said, I think they are a great idea. As long as the site hosting them is not bogged down they are fine. I didn't even know we could link to them; I thought people were forced to use a locally-hosted .jpg file.
As Kobra mentioned, they seem to have fixed it. This thread, even with Eduardo's avatar, loaded fine for me.

If you like Sudoku, check out Zen of Sudoku (available via Steam).
I just haven't caught the Sudoku bug. I do several different crossword puzzles a day but just never got into these things. I am pretty sure it is related to the fact math scarred me as a kid. I can't concentrate on numbers without breaking out in hives.

Secondly, ATI could release a video card that gives blowjobs and I still wouldn't buy one. I would buy two of them and run them in their buggy Crossfire mode. I could finally justify the cost. I have both an ATI and an nVidia card. I have been happy with both and would probably buy the fastest available at the time of purchase. Of course I'd read plenty of reviews before hand to make sure there aren't any major issues.

EDIT: Quick question... is it possible to go wireless later down the road if you get the 20gig version?
Add a wireless gaming adapter. They plug into the ethernet port and turn it into wireless. They work with all your consoles and you can have one for under $50 for an 802.11b Linksys one.

Mazes of Fate for the GBA. This is the Baldur's Gate you remember. Actually, it looks like Dungeon Master II on the PC, but close enough. Holy shit. That looks WAY too good of a game to be on the lowly GBA. And yeah, it really reminds me of the old Dungeon Master games, or maybe the classic Eye of the Beholder. And it's due out this month? I'm gonna have to look this game up. It's already out. The problem is finding a copy since the publisher doesn't seem to have much of a retail presence. You can get it from the publisher via eBay (there is a link on that site), or from Amazon. I bought mine from Amazon and got it the other day. I'm finishing up Rocket Slime before I get started but I am very excited about firing it up.

I have them both bookmarked! Thanks for the links. I wish I had not missed RoboTask yesterday. Sounds like a useful utility. I'm sure I can find something similar, or just write a batch file, but it reminded me of something I need to do.
I dig the simple games as well. Perfect time-wasters.
Thanks again!

The low price of DS games is another reason I keep buying games for the damn thing, rather than clearing out my backlog.
DAMN YOU NINTENDO!!!!
Zoo Keeper! The best $10 I spent all year. I just wish the first-party stuff would see a price drop now and again. I am not paying $30-35 for a DS game! GBA titles are my weakness. I have...too many. I love to feed my GBA Micro!

I have a confession to make: I think I have become a casual gamer.
I am constantly scouring the net for the latest wacky puzzle games. Word games are a plus. All I have played lately is Bonnie's Bookstore. And before that I was hopelessly addicted to Bookworm Adventures. I think I am a slave to Popcap Games and their wonderful time-wasters.
Does anybody have some suggestions for similar games like those that Popcap makes? I've played all those to death, so something new, or even just a slight wrinkle on the same themes, would be appreciated. I'd prefer freeware if possible!
I even bought one of those shovelware CDs at the grocery store with 350 games on it, but I am thinking there are only so many different Mah Jongg tilesets I can look at before I snap. I do crossword puzzles when I am bored. I think something is terribly wrong. Help?

I think I'm more selective on what I buy. I still get the AAA titles, but not much on impulse like I did with previous systems.
I've been buying more $10 PS2 games than anything lately.
Price isn't really the biggest issue for me, it's time. These days I'm almost as content to read about as I am to play them.

As I played Novadrome last week, I was thinking how much happier I'd be playing Super Off Road.
That and Super Sprint. But really, I'd need one of those steering wheels that just spin around forever to recapture the arcade feel. I can't imagine playing those with a d-pad. I'll take RC Pro-Am from the NES days, though.

I might get Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for the 360 if I can find it on sale somewhere.
Target has it on sale for $39 starting tomorrow Thanks for the heads up, picked it up tonight. Got mine there as well. Thanks much, CeeKay!

First, thanks for the Ice Cube reference. I've been to the range a few times. I enjoy it except coming home and blowing all the gunpowder out of my nose. I swear, that stuff gets in me and lives there for a week. They make eye protection but what I need is some nose plugs. Plus I have weak wrists and it just ruins my sex life. Yeah, I went there. My Glock 33 sounds like a cannon which is pleasant since it is the smallest pistol I have at 3.5 inches. Talking about the real gun here, okay? Totally wrecks my wrist. Woohoo!

Crimson Skies: High Road Revenge sucks
Project Gotham Racing 2 sucks
INSANITY ABOUNDS! Though I suppose there might not be as many people playing these on Live these days. Both were classics when they came out. PGR2 is my favorite Xbox title! And I liked Spinx as well.

don't MOST of your games you've played have 0 Achievement points? :slywink:
Mine do! It's a combination of suck and short attention span. I bought a coupld Live Arcade games in which I still have no achievements.

You should be able to. Might be hard to find it new. The EBGames site has it used for $39.99 so it shouldn't be impossible at this point. Even the eBay prices are (suprisingly) under retail.
You might not like the idea of paying nearly full price for a 2+ year old game but it's worth it.

I am. Good news, I am getting better. Started coming down with a fantastic cold last weekend and now just have a nagging chest cold with phlegm and the occasional cough.
We never really appreciate how lucky we are when we feel good. For example, today I am thankful I don't have a toothache. Those are awful so I am taking this chance to be thankful I only have an annoying cough and am not in agony.

Outlaw Golf Holiday Golf Outlaw Volleyball: Red Hot
Just to let you know these were basically demo versions of these games. There might have been two volumes of the golf one, one of which was a Blockbuster Video exclusive. They might have some different costumes, but they don't have many courses compared to the full release. I think you can get one of these, maybe both, at Best Buy for $4.99 or less.
No offesnse, but half of those games listed are among the worst on the system. Then again, you have some really under-rated and fun games on there. The good news, they should be REAL cheap and most people should be jumping at the chance to give them to a good home. I don't have any to offer, unfortunately.
