If we're still talking about the game, I'm liking it a lot. Adored the first one. Just finished up the Zsasz side mission last night. The advanced AR training bits are pretty tough and the Riddler stuff is tricky and well crafted/concealed. I can take or leave the Catwoman missions, but it's nice to play a slightly different, if not mostly similar, experience.
I got all the Riddler content in first game, and I fear I may lose some hair trying to complete all the Riddler ones in this game. But I'm loving every minute if it so far.

Siobhan, yet the commercials I've seen pronounce it as Chivon (Shivan? Chiffon?). Weird.
Weird.I knew I should have studied up on my Irish onomatology.

Tonight's episode, "Reprise", was pretty good. Felicia Day, NLP embedded music and the return of . It looks like they may be turning the screws earlier than I expected on Jack and Allison's saccharine sweet puppy-love phase. It's only a matter of time before they ramp up the tension between them again.

That's a great shot. That Rangers incident was a needless and sad tragedy. I can understand the excitement of being in the moment, but can't imagine personally the impulse to leap over a railing to catch the ball.

It looks like it probably has half the budget, especially when looking at the cast list and their powers.
I'll say: Bagger Vance - Ability to bag groceries at 4 times the normal speed of a human bagger. Speed Talker - Can convey up to 3 times more info during a conversation than a human conversationalist. The Watcher - Can look at something for up to 12 minutes without blinking. Seattle Slim - Can squeeze between two cars parked very close together. Powers also work when squeezing between other things that are close together. Does not work unless she turns sideways. Aquaman - the same one from DC This one is going to be 'Betas'. It's about a rag-tag group of elite government agents comprised of ordinary people possessing extraordinarily mundane powers who are completely incompetent in their prowess of those powers.

I finally got an invite this past weekend to check it out. Looks interesting. Of course I've locked everything down from public view. Gonna poke around some to more to see what the buzz is about.

I can't take Noah Wylie seriously in any role, let alone a alien-invasion-resistance-fighter. I concur that the aliens seem boring and dumb. Maybe that was intentional to direct emphasis to the human characters, but the performances from anyone else non-alien is wooden and flat at best. I'm rooting for the aliens to win in this one, either that or sudden revocation of the 2nd season. Whichever comes first.

Any more impressions? I'm kind of interested, but to be honest I'm not in any cult following pertaining to Suda51 or any of the No More Heroes games. I thought Mikami's God Hand and Vanquish were fun cheesy romps and this new one seems to be in the same vein, albeit with some Suda flavor thrown in the mix. The dick jokes go kind of old quick, even from GB's quick look.

Sadly, despite the lackluster reviews I've seen this getting, it will still probably sell moderately well. Partly due to a morbid curiosity of what kind of a spectacle it finally turned out to be and partly due to rose-colored nostalgia factor. I admit I'm kind of curious what the final deliverable product is, but it'll be a long while and many deep discounts later until I experience it myself.

Finished the game. I thought it was pretty good. Got real sick of fighting a new enemy type the introduce later in the game, they were just pure annoyance. Some of the major boss fights later in the game are pretty neat but the mid boss battles got tedious and boring. If I ever fight another again it'll be too soon. I liked how there are certain sections in the story that force you to make a decision on a few major events, although it felt like the story kept slowly nudging you towards the good path. The bits where you had to fire a tesla rocket from one generator to the next and then proceed to that generator to defend it as it powered up overstayed their welcome.

The first one had gameplay only a mother could love... HERETIC! I love the first game. I've played through it 4 times! It was passable, to be sure, but compared to the 2nd game it just felt ... I don't know ... stiff. I think I'll have to do another play-through of 1 and 2 again soon.

So so stoked for this game. The previews and trailers are looking great. The first one had gameplay only a mother could love and the 2nd one was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Uncharted 2 was the game that I wanted to get a PS3 for. How they've made the characters both charming and personable is what still impresses me about the series. I'm excited to see how their tech is used for the sand and water environments as well as the action set pieces they have this time.

So, imPressions?
My imPression of the Hero Edition BOX is that the BOX is very cool. That's probably all I will experience for now. Maybe I'll reward myself and look at the statue when I get home from work. FWIW the bag thing it comes with is really very nice. From the photos I saw I thought it was going to be this tiny little cheap worthless thing, but it's actually a full sized man bag, probably big enough so store an iPad or other tablet or a netbook. Granted the shape is a bit weird, but I think it looks pretty cool and I might actually end up using it - I just need some big electro rods to put in it so I can look like the guy. The statue thing is also very finely detailed and I'm very happy with it. Now if I can just get to trying out the game... How bout a pic of you modeling it? I was tempted by it because I like sling bags, but I was afraid it was cheap and low quality.

I'm liking it so far. Cole's voice annoys me, but it looks great and plays just like the first one. I had a save from the first one, so I started inFamous2 with the good karma path. I wish there's a little more precision in your ability to levitate and throw objects though. Haven't tried any of the UGC missions yet and it was a little odd to have a message box disclaimer pop-up mid-game warning about the UCG content.

I finally caught this on Netflix and I'm liking it a lot. I'm reading my way through the complete canon of all Holmes stories. I really liked the recent Guy Ritchie film and I like the modern interpretation of Holmes in this new Sherlock series. Definitely want to see more.

Sherlock series one just showed up.
Cool. I'm actually watching it right now. I'm reading my way through the complete "canon" of Holmes stories currently and I really enjoyed the recent Guy Ritchie film. This one seems like an interesting modern take on the characters (Holmes and Watson).

The complete series for The IT Crowd is finally up (was missing series 2 previously). Watched a funny French film called I Do and enjoyed it (watch another good French one called Heartbreaker too). I thought Kick Ass was pretty good too (never saw it until Netflix).

I thought the first was okay. It got boring and repetitive pretty fast. The convoluted ending left me pretty unsatisfied as well. I liked the episodic storytelling mechanic though.
Maybe it'll become Bioshock 2.5 and we get to play as Thomas Zane and walk around in the diver suit. Or maybe it'll be an on-rails shooter with one person controlling Alan's flashlight arm and other controlling his gun arm.

So episode 4 of Back to the Future was pretty disappointing. I don't know if I've just lost interest in it or because the series itself has just lost steam. The only thing I got out of playing the 2.5 hour experience was that I'm glad there's one more left. I'm less excited at this point at finding out how they wrap everything up in episode 5 than I am that the series is finally over. The whole thing just felt like it dragged on.
