I don't suppose anyone has a spare PS4 beta code? Just wasted a hour driving to Gamestop and they told me they couldn't print their codes off. Sigh...

Screaming at my TV playing Trackmania Turbo as I continously restart tracks.  *Fist Shaking*
3  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (3/22/16) on: March 22, 2016, 10:18:23 PM
Definitely in for Trackmania Turbo. The demo on PSN sold me.

The Division
5  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1] The Division (Tom Clancy) on: March 10, 2016, 09:18:33 PM
It's crazy how there are level 30 players already. I thought I had played way too much these past couple of days (Level 11 at 15 hours played.)

Still really enjoying the grind. Yet to step foot in the Dark Zone.
6  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1] The Division (Tom Clancy) on: March 09, 2016, 02:35:39 PM
Just hit level 7 and I'm enjoying the game. It's a lot like Destiny where I can see it becoming repetitive and content lacking (they will undoubtedly release expansions) but right now I'm content with what's on offer.

7  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PS4] Uncharted 4 on: March 05, 2016, 01:00:00 PM
Not really feeling the multi-player beta. The series has always been about the SP for me but I was hoping for more after the excellent MP in The Last of Us.
8  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Far Cry: Primal takes it back to the Stone Age on: February 28, 2016, 12:57:44 PM
I wouldn't say Primal is a FC4 reskin but it certainly contains a lot of the same tropes of the series. I'm enjoying it quite a bit more as I never finished 4 due to it being almost a carbon copy of 3 with a story that didn't grab me.

Primal has been a lot more refreshing to play due to the amazing environment and replacement of guns with animal taming. However, there isn't much of a story or standout characters so you really need to be a fan of the usual Ubi formula to get your money's worth.

Nothing for me.
10  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend playlist - President's Day 2016 Edition on: February 14, 2016, 03:02:47 PM
Finishing up Firewatch and then starting Unravel. I'll get in a few matches of Rocket League in between.
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (2/10/16) on: February 09, 2016, 07:12:54 PM
Nothing. I'd like Firewatch, Unravel, and Lovers in a dangerous spacetime at some point but I've got enough to keep me occupied currently.

Edit: Ended up buying all three because I'm weak.
12  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1]Rainbow 6: Siege on: February 03, 2016, 11:06:37 PM
One of the best shooters in recent memory. Glad to see its getting great support from the devs.
13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (2/3/16) on: February 03, 2016, 12:44:48 PM
Crypt of the Necrodancer for me.

Edit: Also ended up getting Amazing Discoveries in outer space on a whim. Both have proven to be fantastic purchases.
14  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Weekend playlist - 1/29 edition on: January 29, 2016, 05:51:03 PM
Going to pick up This War of Mine on PS4 after work today. I'll give that a go along with my daily Rocket League fixation.
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: GOTY 2015 on: December 22, 2015, 02:38:45 PM
The Witcher 3

Not only the best game of the year but quite possibly the decade.

Runner up - Rocket League
16  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1]Rainbow 6: Siege on: December 05, 2015, 05:14:01 PM
Terrorist Hunt feels a bit janky at times because it's running at 30 FPS whereas online is 60. The transition is certainly noticeable.
17  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1]Rainbow 6: Siege on: December 04, 2015, 05:47:56 PM
This is turning out to actually be on my short list of 'great' games this year behind Witcher and Rocket League. Very impressed.
18  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/PS4/XB1]Rainbow 6: Siege on: December 03, 2015, 09:23:21 PM
I absolutely suck at FPS these days but I rented this out of curiosity and am pleasantly surprised. While not a looker, it's got a great tactical feel and lends to some very involving matches. I could definitely see it maintaining a healthy competitive scene given the chance.
19  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (11/10) on: November 09, 2015, 07:25:36 PM
Just Fallout 4 which I have preloaded on PS4 taunting me.
20  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (10/27) on: October 27, 2015, 12:43:45 PM
Divinity on PS4. Been playing it all morning and it's excellent!
21  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Mad Max - open world game from Avalanche on: September 01, 2015, 06:24:24 PM
Been playing this pretty much all day. If you haven't tired of the "Ubisoft open world design" mixed with the Arkham combat style, you'll most likely love Mad Max.

The vehicle combat is ace and content wise it's absolutely stacked. I've played for six hours and only have a 6% completion. It's very pretty, too.
22  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (9/1) Snake? SNAKE?! SNAAAAAAKKEEEEE!!!!!! on: September 01, 2015, 06:19:54 PM
Mad Max (PS4) for me.
23  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (3/31) on: March 31, 2015, 03:39:08 PM
The Show, as it's the main reason I even bought a PS4.

I defeated Cleric my first attempt and since then hit a brick wall with Father G. Tried ringing a bell twice for help but no one ever joins. frown
25  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Helldivers: "You're it until you're dead or I find someone better" on: March 08, 2015, 02:28:50 PM
This and Zombie Army Trilogy are the best games I've played this year.

Love the coop mechanics in helldivers and how important communication and strategy comes into play for which is a usually mindless genre. It's brutal on mission difficulty 8+!
26  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: It's Almost Thanksgiving (USA! USA!), What's your GOTY? on: November 29, 2014, 05:34:32 PM
I've put away Far Cry 4 in favor of Dragon Age inquisition and haven't looked back. Around 18 hours in I'm ready to give it the nod for the best I've played this year, if not in a few years.
27  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (11/18) on: November 19, 2014, 01:56:37 PM
Just Far Cry 4 for me. It's been a lackluster year and I'm quite positive FC4 will be my favorite after absolutely loving the third.
28  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XB1/360/PS3/PS4/PC]The Evil Within on: October 16, 2014, 11:53:12 AM
It's definitely grew on me. So much that I went and bought it after initially renting from Redbox.

The first couple of chapters really aren't that great and Chapter 3 can be annoying with a lack of save points. Once you hit the fourth Chapter it becomes a lot better paced and more reminiscent of RE4 despite it being a lot tougher due to ammo scarcity.

No doubt about it, the game is tough and relies heavily on trial and error at times. It's a polarizing experience and has far too much jank for a supposed AAA game. The story is garbage and the voice acting downright amateur. However, I love these type of games and hope it sells well enough for a sequel.
29  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XB1/360/PS3/PS4/PC]The Evil Within on: October 14, 2014, 09:17:42 PM
So far I'm not very impressed. The zoomed in camera view, janky game play, and terrible voice acting has me glad I rented it.

It's a bit Resident Evil with a dash of Silent Hill but seems intent on being difficult for the sake of it.

Maybe it's just the fact I have Alien Isolation to continue playing, as I've found it to be much more impressive a game in the early going. Will give TEW at least a few more hours of my time but it's not looking like something I'm going to enjoy.

30  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Destiny -Bungie's new game with Activision on: September 09, 2014, 04:58:47 AM
Against my better judgment, I went to the midnight Games top launch. At least 150 people. Got home with the game and I can't even make it past the installation screen because the servers keep kicking me off.

31  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Games you are looking forward to in 2014? on: December 21, 2013, 02:05:44 PM
Titanfall, Thief (pending reviews,) and the next Halo.
32  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 12/20/13 on: December 21, 2013, 02:04:22 PM
I'm hooked on Assassins Creed IV (Xbone) currently. A few rounds of Powershot Golf in between.
33  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Weekend Playlist -- 11/22/13 on: November 23, 2013, 04:39:50 PM
Lots of Super Mario World 3D and A Link Between Worlds.
34  Gaming / Portable Gaming & Apps / Re: [3DS] Zelda A Link Between Worlds, Oracle of Ages/Seasons coming to eShop on: November 23, 2013, 02:49:37 AM
Trying to divide my limited gaming time between SMW3D and ALBW tonight. I'd be hard pressed to say which one I've enjoyed more thus far. Both phenomenal offerings from the big N.

Zelda is laced with sweet nostalgia and I can tell it will rank as one of my favorites when all is said and done. The visuals look so much better on the 3ds screen than what the trailers have shown. To be honest, I thought it looked quite bad but not so. Running at 60 fps in 3D is also quite impressive. More than anything else so far, I've been most smitten by the soundtrack. Using a set of Sennheiser buds, as the speakers on the XL suck, has been aurally orgasmic.

Great stuff, this.
35  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [wii u] Super Mario 3d World on: November 23, 2013, 02:39:40 AM
Played through World 1 with my wife. She's absolutely terrible at it but we had a lot of fun. The visuals are splendid and the stages have been varied with lots of cool designs. It's definitely not as 'epic' as SM64 or SMG were upon first playing but it's a blast in multiplayer.

I agree with the comment above about it being hard to judge jumping on enemies. The 3D display was invaluable for that in SML.
36  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The "No Next-Gen Console" Support Group on: November 21, 2013, 08:30:42 PM
I can afford them both but there really isn't anything on them I'd enjoy playing. Its quite possible I may never make the next-gen jump as I'm rather content gaming on the 3ds for a hour before bed most evenings. I suppose I'm just getting old but the leap in visuals doesn't really do it for me anymore.
37  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (11/18) on: November 18, 2013, 09:16:42 PM
Super Mario 3D World and the Zelda 3ds. Content in the old gen for awhile.
38  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (09/16) on: September 19, 2013, 08:02:29 PM
GTA V 360 for me. It'll be my last purchase of the year unless my son wants the new CoD.
39  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Grand Theft Auto V on: September 17, 2013, 02:24:09 PM
I just installed disc one to the USB drive and play off of disc two. Performance seems fine. A little pop in here and there but nothing too distracting. The frame rate appears to be around 30 with occasional drops. I'm very happy with performance overall considering this is eight year old hardware. It's going to be jaw dropping on PC if they ever port it.

The game just keeps getting better and better. Strong contender for game of the generation.
40  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Grand Theft Auto V on: September 17, 2013, 06:07:48 AM
Not quite sure why people are up in arms over the game being ultra violent. It's a trademark of the series.

Anyways, picked it up at midnight at my local Walmart. Played about 45 minutes after a lengthy install on 360. Graphics are much improved over IV, the arcadey driving is back (Yay,) and the world is absolutely massive from what I can tell.

Looking forward to digging in further when I haven't been up 23 hours straight.
