Stop the planet. I want off. Hopefully most of the injured will recover without complications. I saw a lot of limb loss in the graphic photos posted on various news sites. Just terrible. I suppose we're in for wild speculation over the upcoming days as to the culprit. Luckily they'll find out and bring them to justice speedily.

After having tried the Motocross Madness trial, nothing.
That bad? Maybe we should start a thread discussing it. I doubt it would be much of a thread. But yeah, it's pretty bad. Only nine tracks, loose handling, and ugly visuals. There's a reason it's only 800 mp. I thought the demo was a lot of fun, and I thought the game looked great. The lack of tracks may be a problem, but there seems to be a ton to do within those tracks (alternate paths, collectibles, levelling-up, etc). Reviews so far are good, although some users are reporting bugs. The alternate routes through the tracks are pretty cool. It reminds me of Joyride Turbo quite a bit in that regard. It's also lacking any significant challenge aside from finding collectibles in free roam, again, like Joy ride. But I digress. I simply didn't find it to my liking. I've got loads to do yet in Terraria & Battleblock before Monaco hits.

Finally got a chance to play Lords of Waterdeep this past weekend. What an awesome euro style game. We must have played it four or five times and it was a blast. As was suggested, I did have to teach my wife to ignore the fantasy theme. For some reason it's automatically "too complicated" if there's any flavor themed text in a game. She just doesn't have the attention span to invest into anything other than rolling a dice and moving to win.
The rest of us loved it. Looking forward to the expansion.

Wanted to actually get outside this weekend with the nice weather but I've came down with a cold or something.
Got a stack of board games coming in the post today but I'll likely be playing some Terraria and Battleblock Theater.

Check point only save earns the game a pretty bad black mark from me.
This. Fun, but man does this suck. This sucks... especially since you don't have it in Bioshock 1 and 2 on the PC version Agreed, what the heck? For me the mouse sensitivity seems a little wonky. I've turned acceleration off, it moves too slowly turned all the way down but it goes up way too quickly from there to where my view flies all over the place with the slightest movement. Think I got it settled down but sheesh. Another plus to the checkpoint saves suck. Maybe someone will figure out a way to implement them. So far I'm not feeling the love. Maybe it is the extended opening, it is almost like they are saying 'hey, we can have NPC's that are not behind glass walls' but the whole city feels so artificial. Walk by a npc, hear their line or two, then move on. The love will come, good sir. I agree with you, however, that there is very little innovation in the game. It's not entirely different from the original Bioshock, save a much better feel to the combat. I'm not sure the aging gen of consoles they had to keep in mind within development could produce much more than the typical system of Npc behavior they have in place. Elizabeth, however, is very well done within that limitation, Imo.

Is everyone getting this for PC rather than console? I'm always torn. I know it will look better on the PC but I can't resell PC games once I've beaten them.
I'm playing it on Xbox and I really wish I could experience it on PC. The games art style is fantastic but a lot of the textures are pretty bad on console. The frame rate isn't too hot in places either. If you have a good PC, do yourself a favor and eat the $30 bucks you won't get back on what is likely to be the best game this year.

I've not followed the game at all. Does one need to finish bioshock 2 before playing?
I doubt it. Ken Levine didn't work on Bioshock 2 (If I remember correctly), and I haven't read anything that suggests the two worlds are related. One thing I noticed watching the gametrailers review is that they were playing the PC version of the game. I wonder how the console version looks. From what I've gathered, the console versions look pretty good due to a fantastic art design but suffer from low rez textures similar to those in Dishonored. They also struggle with the frame rate in certain sections --primarily the latter section of the game. I wish I had a PC capable of running it. Im not a graphics whore by any means but a low framerate really annoys me in a FPS.

The best show ever gets one of the worst games of the year. Makes sense. Ride the popularity of the show with a quick cash in. Activision at its best.
Oh, I didn't realize this was a Breaking Bad game. I think you mean Battlestar Galactica. If I'd known this was a BSG game I would have bought it immediately. I'm on my way to the store now! To be fair, it's pretty close between BSG and TWD as my favorite. The best BSG game is the board game!
