I agree with what Pete Rock says about Neville.
I also think it is a bad choice to leave out issues with the last generation at Hogsworth.... James, Lilly, and Severus especially, but Serious and Remus as well. It seems to me that missing those sections really puts a damper on motivations and characterizations.

$250, then the nunchuck for $20 (which I see as a necessary purchase to play most games.) Nunchuck comes with the base console, does it not? Pretty sure it does. Yes it does. I still bought a complete back up set, the classic controller, a gamecube controller and a charging station for mine. A decent initial investment and I sold it all 6 months later You're right. I mis-remembered since I bought an extra one to go with the second Wii-mote. Subtract the $20!!!!

It still would have been too expensive.
I keep wondering if this is really true. I bought a PS3 recently, and I feel like I got a good Blu Ray DVD player with a free game console. But even with out that, the 360 looked like it would be just as expensive IF one picked up the HD DVD player and the wireless controller. Even the Wii, now that I've looked at what I do with it, costs considerably more than the buy-in price. $250, then the nunchuck for $20 (which I see as a necessary purchase to play most games.) That brings the base console to $270, plus the price of a Blu Ray (about $250 for BD Live.) Wii especially gets bad Hardware-wise, since each controller (WiiMote+Nunchuck+WiiMotion) will run $100.00 per. I haven't found any Hardware purchases to make for the PS3.... maybe a bigger HD down the road? Disclaimer: Between a sale/trade in/credit my PS3 cost about $150 out of pocket.

I'm holding off. You do know that the main storyline can't be played in co-op yes (at least, that's what I've been hearing). I think there's some kind of co-op missions, but it's not the main storyline that can be co-opped.
Depends. I heard that is true of the 360/PS3 version, but not the Wii version. Dilemmas since I got a PS3.... the better graphic version, or the "Real Ghostbusters" cartoon version? Both versions have the same story/voicetrack. The Wii version has the "swing the proton pack" and Co-op main story. PS3 has WAAAYYY better graphics and online one-off multiplayer missions. I may wind up with both versions, just to see the difference.

We got one in May because Gamestop had a deal for $100.00 off when you trade in your PS2 and a few games. Since the PS2 was gathering dust, seemed like a good time. So I guess the $100.00 price drop will move more units.

DISCLAIMER: I AM IN THE MINORITY ON THIS ONE.
Now that the statement is over: I decided to go for World Tour and then pick up Rock Band 2. I did it for the compatability issue so that I can use the instruments on both games.
Best advice I've heard: Check the available tracks and get the game that has the songs you want to play.

I didn't realize so many people disliked Superman Returns. I thought it was pretty good. Wha' happen'?
After the trailers made it look action packed it turned into a snooze fest. Luthor, while played well by Spacey, was a rehash if the Hackmans villain from the first film, superman junior, stalker Superman, he whole OKG he may be dead in what is supposed to be the start of a new franchise and Superman the speech giver are a few things I can think of off the top of my head. Heck, Superman 3 had more menacing moments in it. The big problem with making a Superman movie is that it is nearly impossible to find a "challenge" for Superman. "Oh no, there's Kryptonite nearby...again..." Smallville at least recognizes this and has found an ok way to deal with it. Clark wont kill anybody, and always looks for a different way to find a solution. Unfortunately the last few seasons have used this as a crutch, with all of the secondary characters standing on the sidelines screaming "Kill him/her/it Clark!" and when he refuses they call him weak...until he finds a way to do it without killing he/she/it. /derail There are 75 years of SUPERMAN stories around, some of them quite good without the use of Kryptonite. There ought to be one good movie in all that. If they REALLY wanted to do the first Superman movie (Pre-Crisis and Pre-Byrne) again (without doing that movie) they should try "Last Son of Krypton" by Elliot S! Maggin. The not-quite novelization from 1978. http://www.adherents.com/lit/bk_Maggin_LastSon.html

I really hate comic book 'deaths'. It's so fucking cheap. Why bother killing the character in the first place? I know about the money aspect of it and all, but still.
I haven't read consistantly in a while, and I've given up continuity getting in the way of a good story. We all know that eventually, Bruce Wayne will be back as Batman. The question for his 'death" and "rebirth" is "Will it be a good ride until that happens?"

No mention of "Golden Slumbers/ Boy You're Gonna Carry That Weight / The End"?
I think those (as a group) would make a great addition. Seems to me it covers the 3 main struments + Harmonization on the last set of vocals. Plus the horns would give a break to the palyers for a few bars.

Differn't strokes.
I enjoy my Wii. I think its more that I am so tired of button mashing to make different arrangements of pixels move. I didn't even buy a console for myself between the Atari 5200 and the Wii.
It may also be that I am not an active person generally, so I enjoy getting up. Most of the Wii action is GH:WT and DDR. Right now I'm looking foward to the new tennis games and boxing games that will take advantage of the wiimotion plus dongle.
RPGs, adventures, non-action oriented stuff is for my PC. FPS -- goes either way. Generally I like the mouse+keyboard, unless you're talking about RE4.

The best ending ever was the finale of Six Feet Under. I've seen it at least five or six times, and I tear up every single time.
That was one in my top few. Others Newheart and the dream sequence Babylon 5, right up there with Six Feet Under. Jericho is up there.

What about customizing your band members? Does either game allow you to customize what your band members look like and wear? I have young kids and I don't want them watching skimpy dressed or tattoed band members on the TV. Really it is the wife that is concerned with that.
I'm sure both games allow the band members to be customized. Now, as to whether or not the customizing options are appropriate for your family, I can't tell you.

Cinemaware -- I loved the Amiga versions of their games. I am the guy who bought the New Defender of the Crown game, but I think they missed out in the last incarnation. Keep the minigame/board game aspect and do the controls for the Wii!!
Rocket Ranger with motion controls!!

Add our family to the KR list as well. I prefer the cartoon people to the vids. Also, I like the Duets in KR better.

I'd love to see this work.. but then I'd love a Green Hornet movie much like the NOW comics of the 80's.. family dynesty and all that.
I always thought of Justice League: New Frontier as a Hal Jorden/GL POV story.

I've seen a few adventure games on the Wii, not sure about the appropriate level for a 7 and 9 year old though. Have you tried Lego Star Wars?
I know there is the Harvy Birdman game; at least two Agatha Christie adventures (And Then There Were None Evil Under the Sun); Zach and Wiki might fit the bill...
I'm waiting on the "Broken Sword" director's cut to come out

What I like is the way states criminalize moving performances from one place to another. Here is a section of the code from Alabama:
"Manufacture, distribute, transport or wholesale any article with the knowledge that the sounds or performances are so transferred without consent of the owner."
Since it says nothing about copies, I can't figure out how it works.
